Not pretty, especially second half, but we'll take it.

Not the classic I was hoping for, but a wins a win.

Fell asleep in the break, and was nodding off sporadically throughout the 2nd half. The fact that it always seemed to be Toff plays waking me up leads me to believe the 2nd spell wasn't too great...

That applies to another red coloured based team at another stadium. Thou shalt be given a penalty!

oh and it seems they have two showing of the derby on sky, both live the first on skysport 1 with the correct kick off time of 11.45pm n.z time and then live on skysport2 @ midnight, so not sure if the one on skysport2 is slightly delayed or if they are going to just take the game in from that time on

Fellani goes very very close.... Renia dropped it at his feet open goal but he hits the defender. best chance so far

Halftime and still anyones game, Liverpool look dangerous in the final third and have had plenty of possesion there, but i cant remember them actually troubling Howard? Everton looking more likely to get the ball in the net however

Riley in this game is becoming a joke. No consistency at all in this game in terms of cards Cahills red there was laughable. Riley might aswell get changed with his team mates in the away dressing room.

Actually, don't think he gave the red just for the tackle. He was going to book him regardless and cahill just kept walking away and refused to come back which is classed as dissent so the yellow became red. Don't blame the ref for cahills screwup.

If that was the case he would/should have been given 2 yellow not a straight red.

Its no longer a problem.

Players are walking away all the time as they are getting their yellows and aren't sent with a straight red so I'm not so sure that was the reason. Looks like you haven't disagreed with points of inconsistency Fellani getting booked his soft tackle to me set the standard one that should have lead to some yellows to Liverpool as well. After watching Riley do the Chelsea v United match I thought Riley did a good job in giving cards for dissent to United players, this week he was quite lenient to Riera at one stage, you could even see Babel in the background trying to tell him to calm down.

Hey I've just about given up trying to understand how refs can give a card to one player and not another without having to consider bias.

Take yesterdays game for example, how'd only one Sydney player get booked!!!

Bump...

Up the toffs, Mighty Reds 2-0.

Pissed I'm gonna miss it (and the FA cup tie) but the result's pretty much academic.

Hoping not to return to civilisation with my foot in my mouth (or somewhere else for that matter)
