Where can you park for a few hours near to the Backbencher?
At that time, on a sunday morning, right outside I would say. Please correct if wrong anyone?

Regarding backbencher, I put a post on a NZ arsenal FB page, had +2 confirmation for BB on Sunday morning. So it's hawkwasp + 7 at the moment.

Plenty of parking up by the Backbencher and I think its free on weekends anyway.
I never thought we should have let him go. He's a ghood option out wide, can create, and has a great chip finish which suits our style of play...
All people remember of Vela is his great chip finishes against crap teams; not the rest of his game - which involved going invisible for large periods and getting bundled off the ball easier than a 5 year old thrown into a seniors game.
Very much this, I really enjoyed Vela, but his physicality was terrible for playing in England. Can't access youtube at work, does the video show any sign of him improving in that area? Is he still playing from the wing?

In that video he was rolling defenders and standing strong under challenges to set up goals and scoring goals.
That's interesting indeed. As said, couldn't comment on how he is now, but feel that was his biggest issue in the spell he spent with Arsenal.
Bringing in Vela and getting Campbell back, that would be Wenger done for transfers ;)
i do live vela but not sure of him coming back, Would he want to come back and sit on the bench?
New signings for next season sorted lads
Serge Aurier
Remy
Wilfred Bony
Javi Martinez/Lars Bender
Diaby
Here's my ideal transfer list:
GK - Casillas. He's out of favor at Real Madrid. He'd rival Szy for first choice, while helping mentor him. Guarantee him starts in the champions league and cup matches.
RB - Dani Alves. He's an older RB who is quality and likely on his way out of the Barca camp due to the clear out.
CB - Find another Zoumaesque up and coming CB who can replace Vermy (let the poor bugger go) and rival Miquel for game time in cup matches
CDM - Pogba. Drop the money on the Juventus wonder kid and bring some spine to our midfield.
St - Cavani/Mandzukic. One of them will leave their clubs as they won't be happy playing second fiddle. Show some intent and drop some cash.
Bonus Signings:
Sanchez - Another potential cull from Barcelona, show Theo what a world class winger looks like
Cesc - If the chance arrives bring him home.
For a 'quite transfer window' that'd be one hell of an off season #dreaming #wishfifawasreallife
Will be interesting to see how campbell goes at the world cup, everything i have read on him over the past few season has been good. Really do want to see gnabry getting decent time next season as well.

Cool thanks. I assume the 2 hour limit won't be checked at that time on a Sunday morning?
2 hour limit doesn't start until 8am.

Yea not sure we need a Pogba, he's more in the Ramsey/Wilshere type mould where we're well-served, especially since Ox likes that position too.
Martinez, nom nom nom that would be super scrummy
Alright, despite trying to shut it out, can't help but turn to the big game now... tomorrow night (yikes!)
I think the lineup picks itself;
Szczesny
Sagna-Mertesacker-Koscielny-Gibbs
Arteta-Ramsey
Cazorla-Ozil-Podolski
Giroud
Sometimes Rosicky is preferred in big games but I don't feel he's playing that well at the moment. Poldi has been getting goals and has earned this.
Thank god Long and Jelavic aren't available, those two had the potential for an obafemi moment, without them I feel a little less fear about this.
Also read an interesting rumour about Vela. Apparently we're considering bringing him back with the 4mil clause and testing him out in pre-season, and if we think he's not up to it we'll sell him back to the spanish league with Atletico and Valencia sniffing around with bids.
They reckon he's worth 15mil plus.
Not a bad idea to be honest, try him out with the team, if a no go then make a quick buck.
Very interesting i/v with Tom Fox, AFC COO... https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2063848-arsenal-cco-tom-fox-talks-transfers-global-brand-and-financial-fair-play?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=arsenal#articles/2063848-arsenal-cco-tom-fox-talks-transfers-global-brand-and-financial-fair-play
Interesting about german companies heavily funding their league, I didn't know that. Audi and Adidas actually own part of Bayern? Wow.
That's absolutely fascinating reading.
Love the line up Paulm, can't see us doing anything else...perhaps Podolski might get the nod of Cazorla based on recent form...as well as the ongoing Fabianski vs Szy route. Hard to see though.
Good to know going into the match we'll have Rosicky, Flamini, Wilshere, Ox, Gnabry, Sanogo, Vermalen all available to come make an impact.
If this goes to peno's I'm stuffed, it'll be heart attack central.
Same. Defibrilators will need to be on standy at the BB!
Usually watch games at home alone so this will be a different experience, but feel like I should do something special for this. Lately started to feel like maybe I didn't appreciate previous trophies as much as I could have as I started supporting Arsenal in 1997 and then we won things straight away. So I may have got into the mindset that it's something that just happens every other year. Now that it's been almost a decade without winning anything I fully appreciate that this chance may not come again in my lifetime so want to make it a really memorable occasion.
Id go rosicky over cazorla, purely because I like rosicky more. But thats strong team + bench!! Getting excited

^ interesting info that
Must read more into the german league
I read that every club is already well within FFP regulations because it's a pre-requisite to break even just to be in the bundesliga - is that true?

I've claimed to be a supporter since around '89 but didn't get heavily into it until around '97ish as well, so I can readily identify with that.
Also previously stated in this thread that I'm in the same boat re: watching matches at home alone
Gonna be out of the comfort zone and getting in amongst it!
I'm heading to Goofy666's the night before for some bevvies and a roast pig, then in at the BB nice and early!
What time most of you lads heading down? 3.30 or right on kick-off?
I haven't seen Arsenal win a trophy since I got into football in a big way in 2007. Apart from in Fifa. But everyone wins a trophy in Fifa.

To gain a licence clubs need to show some stable financials. Don't know the exact details. It has hit some clubs, especially those recently relegated like Aachen

I started supporting Arsenal while watching the 78 cup final. Wasn't a great start and after that went through the early 80's where we won nothing until 1987 so I'm used to this trophy drought :(
I'm planning on being at the BB at 3-30am traffic allowing from Seatoun. I think there's quite a bit of build up on ESPN so hopefully Uber has the TV already on when we get there.
Ramsay first goal scorer is my bet, looking forward to seeing Podolski start with Ozil next to him. I can see a few nervous moments in the first half with the players feeling the pressure.
Watching at the Celtic Club over here with a few other Gooners, will be disappointed to not hear She Wore a Yellow Ribbon belted out a few times.
The German club model I am a huge fan of with terraces (standing room), reasonable ticket prices and the fans having a proper say.
Yea reckon Ramsey's gonna tear this up
What a player he has become, just phenomenal

Have a look at the difference in price between the cheapest season ticket for Arsenal and Bayern Munich :P
You're right - embarrassing is the difference, less for a season ticket at Bayern than a one off game at the Arsenal. My term of reasonable was far understating the comparison
I'm around a '78 model Gooner too... when my Dad's mate brought me a kit back from a trip to Londonia - bluddy awesome as almost everyone else (in NZ, at the time, that wasn't an expat) followed United or Pool. I've never been much of a sheep.

Must admit that is one of your areas of criticism I completely agree with Pride of London
Ticket prices in England as a whole are terrible for the average fan, with us being apparently the worst
One of the Bayern officials - perhaps the chairman, I can't remember exactly - was quoted saying something about it that made complete sense. Can't remember the figures but when talking about the difference in revenue from their current ticket prices to that of english ticket prices, he said why would they put their fans through that pain when they wouldn't think for more than 2 minutes about that amount of money during transfer negotiations. When you put it like that it does ridiculous.
I know our club is very money conscious but christ, is the latest increase really worth getting the fans offside when we're now able to splash 40million on a single player?
Getting Bendtner off the wage bill as of next week would probably be the same value as a price increase!
