Aguero out with a grade two hamstring tear. Could be an interesting time for city while we're starting to hit form.

Edit: turned this statement back into english by inserting a player name

Lovely finish from Theo this morning. Best player on the pitch for most of it I felt. I know on paper he was on the right but he was mostly playing in the middle. He's been angling for this central role for years. He's finally got the chance to make it his permanently and he's doing the job so far. Just pray he can stay fit for a full season.

Obviously a biased opinion.    MOM was Barkley, which I thought was about right.

Heh, never in doubt that you'd be first. Barkely was good too.

Barkley was MOM from the English Press, not me.

Who was MOM in the English press last weekend when we dismantled United?

Football365 said walcott was the 'best player on the pitch', just to murky the waters further ;)

Giroud has scored two for France in a friendly, while Ozil has started in a must win for Germany against Georgia.

You gotta watch giroud's goals if you get a chance, hilarious stuff - both of em shots directly at the keeper, summing up his current form in front of goal, yet somehow he manages to score both! First one went through a weak schmeichel, second rebounded straight to him for a tap-in...

beautiful ball from Ozil and good to see giroud in the goals. even if they were tap ins. at least he made nice runs to get to them.

Ox and Gibbs starting for England, good thing for us I think, them getting minutes.

Walcott on the bench, also good, he'll be raring to go for this weekend.

Sanchez to be offered a new deal, making him the highest paid player at the club. Makes sense. Good to see we are trying to avoid him getting into the last 2 years of his contract. Hope we're doing the same with Ozil and others.

Rumours Monreal has agreed a new 3 year deal as well, he's earned that, unsung hero, written off early by a lot of fans, has now thoroughly proven himself.

RvP Oggy (and it's a howler) just sealed the Netherlands fate, they won't be in Euro 2016. What a horror year for the guy. Oh how I feel for him. Said no Arsenal fan ever.

Mixed feelings there - really disappointed to see the team I support at every Euro's/WC (when NZ isn't in it) not going. On the other hand; it's hilarious to see him head that in.

He's been enjoying his time in Turkey too. Got himself his title and now he can retire safe in the knowledge he will forever be unloved and unremembered by any of the clubs he played for. There's something immensely satisfying about the way his career turned out.

Also for what it's worth:

Mesut Özil & Theo Walcott have played 1,495 minutes together, contributing 51 goals; a goal every 29.3 minutes.

Campbell scored in a 1-0 win over USA.

Gnabry scored for Germany U21s.

Akpom scored for England U21s.

Our players seem to have found their eye for goal compared to the start of the season...

In our first choice eleven, the only player on international duty this break that didn't score or assist was Cech. And he was in goal as the Czech Republic beat Holland in Holland.

Lets see them goals back in England now lads.

"From the internationals we only have positive news," Wenger said when quizzed about any knocks picked up by the Gunners' international aces.

"We are still waiting for Campbell, Alexis and Ospina to return, but they all texted back to say they are OK, so we just have to see if they were objective in their assessment."

I wonder if Wenger giggled when he read Sanchez' text. If that guy had a broken leg he'd probably still claim to be fine.

That's what, 9 goals in 5 games? Unstoppable at the moment. Love that comment about them texting back. I wonder if Wenger and the squad have a WhatsApp group in which they share injury updates.

I imagine Wenger frantically texting him every 10 minutes asking if he's OK.

I hope you all won't mind me posting a few photos of my Arsenal shirt collection. First up my shirts during the Highbury era. Some trainspotters may notice the 1995 shirt (very first Nike one) missing. That's framed on the wall.
