I'm looking forward to this game. 2am live. My mate is a big Spurs fan so will have to deciede whos place we will watch it.Will have to go easy on the VBs as it is work in the morning.Go Spurs.

He is rather clever and funny isn't he?

Enjoying reading all the discussion on the net today. Two stand out:

1. From DML:
Really pleased with the win but my concern remains our finishing. We are creating many chances but converting them at a poor rate. On next, Newcastle. That is a true battle for 4th.

2. From the Guardian:
A decent result today but in fairness it was at home and against a lesser side. We'll need to improve a bit if we're going to beat Newcastle in the next game.

Spurs have the players to do the job, but struggle at SJP.

Too hard to call but I'd almost put money on the Toon to win by 2 goals.

Still - I think if Adebayor, Parker, Modric, Sandro, BAE, Ledley and Friedel start then 1 or 3 pts will be going back to N17. (Edit: and Bale of course!)

I'm just glad it is early on in the season so that a loss either way isn't a big deal.

It will be a great match up and unlike the first game of the season at SJP or the last game at WHL, I'm sure both sides will lift their games against a better quality opposition.


Edit: Just seen that Adebayor is marginal for the match. Presumably Pav and Defoe resume their prolific partnership then. *sarcarstic emoticon*

Sounds like a pulsating second half - sure I'll look back on it and be happy with a point away from home; but like the Nxx last week, one goal up with 3 mins left and then conceding an equaliser always tastes bitter for a couple of days.

Spurs 1-0 Rubin Kazan.  Pav strike in 33rd minute then holding on in the second half.
 
Also Guardian MBM is a few minutes slower than soccernet gamecast.
