Does Ticketec own Sky? Sounds like a shambles is about descend? i want to dump Sky but like Paul M I am waiting to see if the $11.99 deal is happening and i would stay and get it.
Viewing the Premier League (live) 16/17...
Just heard from my parents that they received the August Skywatch magazine today and there is no mention of EPL or Bein. Deal obviously wasn't done before they printed it.
seeing as it's sent to the printers by like the 15th of the previous month i'm not surprised.
also LG it's been annouced you can ring SKY and have it loaded now and the charging dosn't start until the weekend of the first game.
Awesome, thank you.
Makes mental note: Ring Sky Monday morning and subscribe to Bein.
So nothing at all about the $18 website option? Anyone heard anything?

I doubt they'd bother until they've got their Sky package marketing out. Keep people around until the eleventh hour.
I'd doubt they would bother at all, since it doesn't really involve them.
They might have an agreement with BeIN that means BeIN will keep quiet on it until the last minute, to push the subscriber numbers for Sky like you say, but I honestly doubt that as well.
Personally I feel it probably won't be happening at all, and that someone was talking sh*t entirely when it was mentioned in the first place, but time will tell I guess.

Yeah - i am not feeling optimistic about the Bein-only option right now.

If they want to look at securing the Aussie rights next time it come up, it would be a good test case for them though. You'd think the per-capita football watching ratio would be similar as are internet speeds.
all i have heard is that beIN connect is def happening - I know there are some issues with getting it working for the SKY subscribers so maybe the same issue exists for direct subscriptions.
I expect these things to pretty quickly pick up some momentum though - would be surprised if there isn't a solution come the week of the first game.

Bein sport connect not available at launch by the looks of it
And only bein sports 1 plus one of the pop-ups in hd, poor.
On the Sky Tv page, in the 'upgrade my subscription' area there is no option to select BEIN sports...

Plus it's says one of the popup channels won't be available until after the olympics. Which means some delayed games for the first couple of weeks I suspect?
How is this soooo hard?!? They already have the platform, what the actual fudge!
In good news, they are saying that bein sports has the League Cup, Uefa CL/EL , La Liga & Premier League at that price. Hope The connect offering lands in time.
Still concerned that the 'on demand' offering will be inferior to PLP :(
Edit: Just occured to me there were suggestions of Championship coverage a while back, no mention of that in the materials?
It's funny how
http://getbein.beinsports.com/nz/premier-league/
says "
LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of every round of the Premier League on beIN SPORTSbut then you scroll down and see
That some games have (delayed) next to them. Satellite broadcasting, what a waste of time.

Sneaky bastards

Is BeIN connect the website option for $18?
If yes, then why would it need to be working for Sky subcribers? They have Sky or SkyGo right?
Or have I got the wrong idea here - is this website option just an additional thing for Sky subscribers, and not available to people outside of that?
Wow that would be a massive kick in the face compared to their early comments if true.
Listened to the whole interview. $11.96 per month for two channels (PL 24hr & Bein Sports 2) plus pop-up channels for 3 more games allowing for a maximum of 4 games to be broadcast on sky at one time. From the last question Richard Last answered, it sounds like paying the $11.96 a month also gets you access to Bein Connect which will have all games live to stream. Sounds similar to the set up that was on Foxtel (~$20 a month with access to begin connect) before 3 bein sport channels were recently added to the standard fox sports subscription.
Bein connect will also be available direct from bein for around $18 a month, according to Richard Last.
Ok here's a good description of what they originally said.
So I can see what you're saying about sky subscribers accessing BeIN connect Chopah. If you buy the 2x channels, you should get that free as well.
More interested in the other option Richard Last spoke of - non-subscribers paying $18 per month.
If anyone hears anything about this let me know... I've not turned up anything yet...
http://getbein.beinsports.com/nz/subscribe/ Talks to "bein connect" coming soon.
So can you actually sign up to the Sky option yet?

if you check out http://getbein.beinsports.com/nz/sport/football/ it also mentions "LIVE coverage of the Sky Bet Championship" and "see every South American qualification game for the 2018 FIFA World Cup"
The management of this transition has been terribly poor. Not that I'm surprised given that SKY are involved.
The Charity Shield is this weekend FFS.
On the plus side it looks like Being Connect isn't just EPL, but also Champs league, europa league, capital one cup (EFL cup), and La Liga.
theyv'e confirmed on twitter that Bein Connect won't be available for the first round.. :-(
Will it even be on Sky for the first round?

Looks like it will be, tho a couple will be delayed:

what a shambles.

Link takes you to the subscribe page and it gives you details of the Sky Package. The Internet service is still "Coming Soon"
So looks like you can ring Sky now. (Although I haven't tested that yet.....)
This is a joke.
One job.
The estimated global audience for the EPL is 2.7 billion people, and this is how the competition gets treated here. FFS.

So no bein connect for first round. Still really like to understand what, if any, on demand there will be.

You can all come around my house, I have Sky.
$75 entry.
Just noticed that Bein Connect NZ actually says it won't be available *before* the first round. So it might be available just in time for the first round, but they won't offer the service before Round 1 itself.
Sky have a page up now.
Well then, looks like I'll be using an illegal stream ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Based on their overseas services it won't be as good as PLP. It said something like "on demand will be available a few hours after the match has ended"
FFS the LeedsV QPR game is being broadcast too!
I was hoping to watch NUFC on saturday morning. Guess that won't be happening?
