West Ham thread
On the suggestion of the collective media, at least six of these players must go in January.
The board see Youth as the cheap way to develop our future and will loan them rather than axe them
-----------------------------------
Neill Ilunga Lopez Spector Widdowson Spence
Upson Collins Davenport Gabbidon Tomkins
Dyer Faubert Behrami Etherington Boa Morte Bowyer Noble Parker Mullins
Ashton Bellamy Cole Di Michele Tristan Reid Sears Hines Jeffrey
-------------------------------------
- If Stech has developed then Walker will go
- Cover at fullback from Behrami, Faubert, only one of Spector and Lopez will stay
- Potential v experience Tomkins Gabbidon. potential wins although Gab may have to be held until fit
- If Zola has a say speed and flare then of players such as Dyer, Etherington, Boa Morte, Behrami & Faubert, only one will go
- Other youngsters developing quicker than Stokes. Quashie and possibly Bowyer as well
- Reid is disgruntled and wanting to join Crystal Palace . Ashton could be the hard call. Too many injuries, other strikers v lack of goals and his ball winning ability. However I have already named 8 so he may be saved.

<!--[if !supLists]--> <!--[endif]-->One or more of those chosen to stay may want out.

Current list of those either suing or screwing West Ham
Is this to be added or deducted from BGs asking price of ?250 million
Next in line. Paul Ince. The reception at Upton
Park earlier this year shattered my confidence as a manager and
ultimately lead to my sacking
(Green, Upson, Parker, Bahrani, Bellamy, Ashton).
So.......... all except Ashton shouldn't be concerned about getting cup tied this weekend.
Interesting but ambiguous comments from Scott Duxbury on the Official Website, and then some comments from fans on KUMB.
Also on Kumb, a U Tube clip on the movie, Cass. It was released on DVD on Boxing Day. I might see if I can get a copy . If we make it to the final I will have a party at mine for the Claret and Blues amongst us and play that as a build up. On second thoughts, maybe not. It looks as though it could insight a riot. Lets go to Scousers instead.
Sears. Dont Know. Maybe protecting him, but I think he shoud be getting games. Should be out on loan.
Bringing Tompkins back is obviously to replace Davenport. Zola is not going to take any sh*t from players by the looks of it.
If the offers for Bellamy hit 15 million I reckon they will sell but according to Duxbury that will only happen if there is an adequate replacement. (Define adequate)

West Ham midfielder Kieron Dyer is finally ready for a return to action after spending the last 17 months recovering from a broken leg.
Dyer, 29, underwent three operations on the injury suffered in a Carling Cup tie at Bristol Rovers in August 2007 and then had his return delayed earlier this season by a stress fracture.
But the England international has impressed manager Gianfranco Zola in training this week and he is poised to be included in the squad for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie against Barnsley.
Dyer has made just three appearances for West Ham since completing a 6million move from Newcastle and his availability could not come at a better time for the Hammers given Zola has no money to spend during the transfer window.
Zola said: "He's focused and he's very excited to play and we will try to get him back because he's an important player. I've seen him training, he's trying very hard and he's got a lot of qualities.
"I know it's been a big injury for him and he's been working well in the last few weeks. I know it's frustrating because he's training, training, training and he would like to play.
"After such a long time out it would be difficult for him to be involved from the beginning."
West Ham have fielded and rejected a number of inquiries for big-name stars like Craig Bellamy, Matthew Upson and Scott Parker and insist they are under no pressure to sell, despite the financial difficulties faced by owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson.
There may be little money to spend either but Zola is looking to build on the spine of the team offered by Robert Green, Upson, Parker and Bellamy with the likes of Dyer and promising home-grown youngsters.
Jack Collison has broken into the first team this season while defender James Tomkins has been recalled from a successful loan spell with Derby and is set to be involved tomorrow.
"I am glad to be back. The manager wanted me back and I want to try and impress him. My aim is to get back in the team," said Tomkins.
"Derby wanted me for another month but West Ham asked for me to come back. West Ham tried to watch me as much as they could while I was there, so hopefully the manager would have been pleased with what I did."
Bellamy is available after serving a one-match ban and Mark Noble has recovered from a virus but Parker is suspended.
After 17 months out I still find it hard to get my head around the fact that Keiron Dyer plays for West Ham.
I personally would not like bellamy to leave. We have no one to cover him and apparently tristian look absolute sh*te today which is most probably why Zola has left him out. I would prefer Sears to get a run as he's bagging loads of goals in the reserves. cole has 3 goals in 3 games which would do his confidence good.
I dont believe media bullsh*t. BG may need to see asap but I dont think we're really as deep in the sh*t as the red top papers suggest.
Upson being traded for an out of form striker at Arsenal so that he can replace Bellamy,
Bahranis agent saying he will be off at the end of the summer. Not worried about losing Neill but I hope this extra dosh doesnt let BG think that he doesnt have to sell. We need new owners and he has to cash up with authorities in Iceland before end March or we go into Admin, lose 9 points and possibly kicked out of league.
Duxbury should have said we do not have to sell our best players, but we are going to.
Lets not even think about a cup run.
Where were you yesterday Hammerhead?
West Ham United assistant boss Steve Clarke admits they're looking to sell fringe players this month.
"We are very pleased with the way that things are going. You can see on the pitch that things are improving, you can see that we have worked very hard to get to this position and don't want to let it go," said Clarke.
"In the last few games we have seen better performances and that is a pleasing sign for everyone at the club.
"Ideally you want a squad of 20 plus three goalkeepers. The maximum is 22 plus three goalkeepers - right now we are operating with 26 outfield players.
"That means you can't have a 10 v 10 in training or 11 v 11 in training - you can have 13-a-side but that doesn't work. It works better to have smaller numbers."
We only need 20 outfield players so we need to sell 6 fringe players. Lets start with Parker, Bellamy, Upson...
10 v 10 games!!! How often in the last three years have we had 20 fit outfield players taking part in 10 v 10 training games?
If this is the case why dont they say, we are not interested in offers for our top players, and stick to it, instead of making that comment then following it with a statement that we will look at any offers.
We are and always will be a selling club.

If Tevez and his Agent are peed off with Ferguson, why dont they just up tent and go.
Who to, you ask. Poor West Ham? Why not.
Kia is Tevez Owner / Agent. He is also working for West Ham as a transfer agent.
Let Kia do a deal for Bellamy and Parker to Man City for 35 mill, then sell Tevez to WHU for 30 mil for which he will pick up his own commission on all three players, then find buyers for Quashie, Boa Morte, Bowyer, Davenport which in total will pay for another midfielder to replace Parker. Possibly Appiah who is currently training with Spurs. (Bit of a problem boy though apparently).
The big six seem to have been told thay are going nowhere and if the above sales go through, this shouldnt change.
What is of concern is that we now need a wide left sided player.Plenty of gossip about other signings but nothing about a winger to replace Ethers and Boa. (and I dont mean a gambler who cant score).
Zola is quoted as saying that he wants to get his squad down so that he can give everyone a game. Well if he can do that we should be able to get into the top six playing 22 outfield and three keepers!!
Who told them. The Daily Mail?
And..... are the British Media now conceding that we actually do have great players.
HK, Dont believe what you read in the papers, hear on the radio, watch on TV, or download on the internet, unless it is on this site. When the time comes, ad "what you hear in the pub" to the list of unreliable sources.
Craig who???
(P.S. Dyer came on as a sub in the last game too).
Welcome - Participate - Often. The more the merrier.
Heard during the commentary this morning that Zola has won 7 of his first 20 games as manager, and there have been a few draws in there as well. Hope the new owner, it has to happen, is patient with him. He will produce the style of football West Ham have been known for over the years. Not necessarily league winning but pretty to watch, and with more than our share of success.
Hammerhead, Hows the holidays in Napier going. It was only a 4 hour drive to get down to the game last night. Poor commitment!!
Just a rumour but a lot of logic in this.
Loan Crespo for the rest of the season, giving Ashton time to return.
Send Sears out on Championship loan to get experience to play off Cole or Aston next season
Wow that would be awesome, and I I like your logic, but I gave up giving any credibility to the rumours long ago.
Lets start with a full round of
I'm forever blowing Bubbles......
