It looks like the Olympic gymnastic event with the ribbon on a stick.

From the mid 80's, can see why this didn't last too long

This is for Lonegunmen ...

Not really a candidate for worst badge, but I reckon they have really botched up the re-model of QPR's badge.  It used to be a distinctive, "no mistaking it even on an away shirt" round badge, but now it is a rather random splodge on a white background (when on the shirt).

Bad move.  Agree LGM?  I wouldn't be surprised if a few folks at Loftus Road were not that impressed.

I know, I know, its serious!

1] The Jam, both of your messages on the last page had me PMSL! Classic remarks worthy of thread message of the day.

2] Turfmore, whilst most QPR fans loved our "old badge" that was released in the early 80's. This new one was meant to pay homeage to the history of QPR going back to 1882 when formed.

Thats the old one  above and here's the new one below......

Although I personally Like the old one more, the new one is slowly growing in favour. you are quite correct, QPR fans were up in arms when this first came up and some are staying staunch. But a lot are thinking along the same direction as myself.

Eat your heart our Fulham, these are both real badges!

The juxtaposition of old and new jars me a tad on that one.

Sorry LG, but QPR's new badge reminds me of a diagram of a woman's reproductive system. TheJam2008-08-29 07:31:04

What, LG's perfect woman

I prefer the old badge better. The new one is too ostentatious.

It's always tough when a club changes. Brighton have changed once in my lifetime*, from the round style to a shield style. Part of the reason for our change was to sweep the Archer and Bellotti  scum years away after they failed to put us out of business and (Sir) Dick Knight  came to our rescue. After a few months of prevarication, I found I liked the new Brighton one more and had it tattooed upon my person.

*I think they must also have changed from the Brighton & Hove town crests in the 70s, so twice but I don't remember the first one.

Ok, here's a few that get my vote for terrible badges:

Is this a football club or a cheap seafood restaurant?

MK Dons, more than meets the eye!!

Here's 2 birds sitting on a ball

A bull wearing glasses?!

??? Does that sheep have a halo? and does it have a sword sticking through it's neck?

Words cannot describe how bad this is. It's like something you'd see on a bad LSD trip.

Yeah, that Swindon one is bad.

It's no surprise that Franchise FC have a sh*tty new-age logo.

I don't mind the others, though I wouldn't want them for my club.

That logo haunts me in FM... the one side my Solihull Moors side can't beat... I've been to an FA Cup Semi from league 2, and beaten 4 or 5 Prem sides at various times, but I can't beat Notts County.

The old hibs one was pretty rank

The one before that was OK, but many folk didn't take to the crown on the badge

Current one isn't too bad, but perhaps a bit busy, and not very easy to scribble on a school jotter, like the saturn beer bottle label at the top was.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Of the badges recently depicted here, the Notts Co, Oxford and Preston ones are quite decent I think, the Hartlepool 'Captain Pugwash' and Hibees are OK (even the old lager can one) but Swindon (whose badge I'd forgotten about) and MK Dons (whose Frankenstein club I'd rather forget about) are absolutely atrocious.
Swindon might now be even ahead of AFC Bournemouth in my "badge crimes" list.

Now you understand why the fans didn't take to it but the reminder of a women's reproduction system is an interesting one that Freud would have had a feild day with!!
