As per last season's thread Paul needs to step back from running it this season. He's given me his spreadsheet so I'm happy to keep it going if there's still interest.
I propose to keep it exactly the same as last season in terms of picks and points scoring to make it easy since it's only a week until the season starts. That is, picking just the games of teams supported by participants - last season we picked Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool games.
Format was:
Pick the winner and either a 1 goal margin, 2+ margin or a draw.
5 points for correct winner, 8 points for correct winner + margin, 8 for picking a correct draw.
Pick one player for each match, 5 points awarded if your player gets MOM.
The only change I propose is taking the MOM as being the official one named on premierleague.com - this is the player who is the official MOM and gets something presented to them after the game, rather than using the whoscored.com rating. Often the players were different - I occasionally got confused seeing I had the official MOM but got no points as whoscored rated it differently, so suggesting we go with the official MOM this time. Let me know if any objections to that.
Pre season picks will be same as last season - top 6, relegated teams, top scorer and assister for each team we're picking, golden boot winner, golden gloves winner. As with last season the deadline for these can be after the transfer window closes as deadline day deals may influence picks. Will confirm the deadline date once we have enough interest to run it.
