In fairness, Buffy usually charges me with being an obsessed stalker type, rather than stupid. If you broadened it out to, "Anyone who disagrees with you must be defective", that would be about right.
Milan are a better side than Arsenal, but not by so much that it's a foregone conclusion. Should be an interesting match.

I think you kind of have to wonder if the Napoli and Milan results over the past week point to a resurgence of Italian club football, or steady decline of English club football.

I think it's more of an English decline but might be a bit early to judge tho. Last season there were 3 English teams in the quarter finals and only 1 Italian team
Although English teams need to sort out their defense because most of the big teams have terrible CBs
Just following the penalty shootout between APOEL and Lyon - would be absolutely huge if the Cypriots pull it off and get to the quarters. 2-2 after 2 series.
APOEL win the penalty shootout 4-3, great day for Cypriot football. And if Basel manage to get Bayern out, we'll have two massive underdogs in the quarter-finals.
One of the best Champions League seasons in recent memory.el grapadura2012-03-08 11:27:33
Good work from Chelsea this morning to overturn a 3-1 deficit. Real Madrid routinely disposed of CSKA Moscow 4-1.
So the quarter-finalists are: AC Milan, Benfica, Barcelona, Bayern, APOEL, Olympique Marseille, Real Madrid, Chelsea. 8 Clubs from 7 different countries - loving that.
I dunno about this. Part of me wants to see both Spanish giants knocked out before the final for the LOLZ but another part of me thinks that a Barca v RM final would be an epic event because of the ongoing classico soap opera. Real seem certain to win La Liga and so the amount of pressure and hype would be enormous. Real and Mourinho would have a chance to deny Barca a major title this year and could perhaps rightfully claim to be the better team after all. Mourinho would win his 3rd CL and probably move on. However, Barca would have everything to play for having not won La Liga and they have had it all over Real in head to head meetings over the last few years. Add in eye-gouging, diving, Pepe tackles and so on and you have the recipe for a final so massive it could be talked about for years to come. On the other hand that whole storyline almost seems too good to be true and it might end up being a let down.
Of course both teams have to get there first and its certainly possible that Milan and Bayern will go through instead, or maybe even Chelsea at a stretch. Should be an exciting run in at least!

yeah Bayern are hard to beat and have heaps of experience and quality all over the park and will be playing for a home final. They might be underdogs for this but I reckon they will sneak past Real. Although maybe UEFA want that Classico final so badly there might be "interesting" refereeing
If Barcelona keep squandering chances like this morning, I wouldn't bet on it. They're missing a clinical finisher, especially when Messi's not at his best.
