Barcelona deserved it.  If not for Busquets getting sent off, they'd have scored more.  ESPN picked Zlatan for MotM, but for me it was Puyol.

Ronaldo's voodoo curse doesn't seem to have lifted.  No surprise that Paris knows where to do her shopping.

I thought Pique played a blinder too. Alves is very hit and miss however his ball for the Ibra goal was magic.

Oh, and it's only fair to mention Kaka was by far the standout for Real. When he's on form he really is a joy to watch.

Yep. I managed to see only about 15 minutes of the first half. Fantastic stuff, high intensity, beatiful skill, great movement and understanding between players, absolute commitment when on defence. It just doesn't get better than that.

Yeah Pique was very good, had Ronaldo sussed. It really was a delightful ball that Alves put in for Zlatan. Messi's skills are just amazing, freakish stuff.

Pique and Puyol were immense. But Iniesta was incredible. I cannot believe how good he is. Messi made Pepe his bitch whenever he went near him. Henry didn't do much. Busquets won the ball a lot and then gave it away... And was rightfully sent off.
 
However, the Madrid press/fans are disgusted with the performance claiming that Real could have played all night and they wouldn't have scored. The passion from Barca was simply not matched and, even with the numerical advantage, Madrid couldn't put Barca under sufficient pressure. Oh, and of course the weekly calling for Pellegrini's head. Scum.
 
Alonso gave the ball away more than he did all of last season. Ramos actually did okay for a while. Alves was pretty average to be honest. Mind you, what a ball. Messi is the most talented player in the world, bar none.
 
Overall, happy days! Madridistas losing is always good, especially in games which mean so much. The typical over-reaction is appalling. ANTIMADRIDISTA. Viva Barcelona!!!

Good win for Barca. Was a fairly scrappy game, guess Barca showed they just had that extra bit of quality - both goals were very classy.

Madrid are humiliated again. Superb. Barca didn't even have to play well. Pep is the winner also. Alves was awful, Ronaldo vs Messi? What a joke... Ronaldo hardly deserved to be on the same pitch as Lionel. Both goals were awesome. Xavi... What a player. All in all, happy days!

Average match this morning, but happy with result, just better finishing really. Van der Vaart had an amazing chance and Ronaldo had a couple good ones too.

The difference between the teams is that Baca play as a team and Real just had name players on the pitch.

Agreed. Ronaldo had a couple which I fancied him to score, and VdV missed an absolute sitter. Just a terrible shot. No conviction at all as to what he wanted to do.
 
It was never goiong to be really exciting given how tight La Liga is- neither team would want to go all out and attack.
 
Madrid are scum. That is all.

Regardless of who is widely considered to be better when it comes to this game I'm all for Madrid taking it out.  Helps that Mesut �zil is playing for them now.

That's in spite of the fact that if I picked a Spanish team to follow it'd be Atletico Madrid.

Did anyone watch this?? What a waste of time, there was literally more ads than movie. And it was just the pre-match build up to last season's game in Madrid too, not the history.. Sounded good, but the actual thing was rubbish, tbh..
