I love an El Classico.
In the middle of last year, I had to go to a party when the 3rd/4th play-off of the World Cup was on. I made the condition that I would only go if I could have the game on a TV, although the sound had to be off. During the night, I was being my usual "party" self - sitting in the corner, drinking heavily and watching a muted TV. A bloke came over to talk to me (I have a welcoming face) and after a number of questions like "who is playing", "who is favourite to win", etc I put him down as a non football fan - no shame in that.He asked about who I support, and out of courtesy I asked if he supported a team. He said Barcelona, and I rolled my eyes. I asked if he had ever been to a game, and he told me that his grandfather was from Barcelona, and one of the original season ticket holders, giving him tickets to pretty much every game he wanted to go to. He went to most of the El Classico's, European Cup semis and finals, and got away tickets to games in the UK (eg Chelsea EC semi final). I was a bit jealous.
He then went on to tell me the worst engagement story ever that made me want to throw boiling water over him.

Ridiculous.
It occurs to me that UEFA has been ignoring (and even encouraging) Messi in his actions. Perhaps FIFA should suspend Europe? I can see that working well.
