Barca turned them on when the Inter players were celebrating to quite literally "rain on their parade".

It was a very shameful and embarrassing display from the club who obviously can't lose with any grace whatsoever.

...and , assuming this tale is true, who would have turned the sprinklers on? And would he/she have done this with the full sanction of the club's board and members???? Of course not!!!

So before you start typing stuff like "It was a very shameful and embarrassing display from the club who obviously can't lose with any grace whatsoever." THINK!!!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

As the final whistle marked the end of the siege on Inters goal, Mourinho sprinted towards across the lush grass, and in the direction of the Inter supporters in the heavens, only to be accosted by Vctor Valds, the Barcelona goalkeeper.

The two jostled briefly and were separated before they could come to blows. Then, as Inters players celebrated, the Barcelona groundstaff turned on the sprinklers to douse them.

El Traductor. But that sucks... I wanted them to win in the Bernabeu!

Yeah, that would be awesome to see that.

But this final will be great imo. Picking Inter through the sheer class of Mourinho.

Is he the best manager in the world going round? Has to be imo.

No funnies. Its true. But unfortunatly as far as knock out Cup football goes, being the best (ie. consistantly top of your domestic competition) doesnt count for sh*t. Youre only as good as your last game. If you had a best of 5 Barca vs. Inter, Barca would come out on top every time.

Even the greatest teams in the world lose the odd game here and there, and for Barca the 3-1 loss was one of them.

It was probably one of the most boring games ive watched in a while with the whole park the bus game plan. Lame.

Do you have any sort of tactical awareness whatsoever? Inter did the job in the 1st leg at home, attacked Barca, and comfortably won 3-1. In the 2nd leg away from home and with the disadvantage of playing most of the game with 10 men, they produced a stunning defensive performance to see them through to the final. 100% deserved.

What did you expect Inter to do? Go out and play a 4-3-3 at the Nou Camp? Go back to your latest FIFA game if that's the case.

Three for me, and two for them.

A stunning defensive performance? Pfft!! A superb Julio Cesar 1st half save to deny Messi, and a dodgy handball that any other ref wouldve let slide (there was no hand-to-ball contact, and even if it did knick his hand there was no intentional contact) was the only difference. Not to mention other plays like Bojan's open header which he shouldve put away... then there was that pig of a bus trip to Milan... theres nothing stunning about a 8 man defensive line. The AWs have been doing it for years.
Barca lost because they were unlucky at home, not because they were out played at home. They had more chances than a stacked defence should let through. It just didnt go their way. Thats all it is.

Barca had 4 shots on target all game - great defense, and Pique's goal could have been offside to counter your dodgy handball excuse. Lets not bring up the dodgy red-card in the 28th min which made Inter's job a little bit tougher.

Inter had a job to do, defend the 3-1 lead they achieved in the first game. At the end of 180min the score was 3-2 to Inter.

Yeah the AWs do it but does it work with them? No. Why? Because they don't have the players or tactical nous required to pull it off. Plenty of teams try it and fail. Each Inter player knew exactly what he was doing and Mourinho has obviously drilled it into them to be extremely focused and organized, which they were.

Face it, Inter outplayed Barca in the 1st leg and then stood firm in the face of adversity in the 2nd leg. Over 180 minutes of football Inter deserved to progress.

I suggest you read this website and learn a thing or two about football tactics.

Three for me, and two for them.
