My La Liga lineup would be 3-5-2:
___________Cassias_____________
_____S.Ramos__C.Puyol__???_____
_____Iniesta_Kaka__Xavi________
Messi___________________Ronaldo
____Imbrahimovic__???__________

as you can see im not very good with my La Liga and regretably I put Ronaldo in.

Heres my EPL side:
______________Reina______________
M.Richards__Shawcross_Terry_Cole?
Gerrard__Lampard_Fabregas_Bullard
________Torres___Defoe___________

I reckon the EPL side would grind out a win but the defense is a bit dodgy,ohh and I put Bullard in just for the lol's

United's only won the last three seasons and considering last year was Record Clean sheet year, this year they're 2nd equal in clean sheets, first equal in total goals and have the highest goal scorer in the league, not a single player makes the team? Yeah nice work man.Michael2010-03-04 22:03:14

If i was to do a serious EPL dream team:

Van Der Sar

Richards - Ferdinand - Terry - Cole

Lennon - Fabregas - Essien - Young

Rooney - Drogba

Three for me, and two for them.

Richards tends to be a bit of a donkey.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

That's not bad Buffy.

I'm not sure about RB, I loathe to have a Perennial strugglers Liverpool player but Johnson going on last season's form, I think Richard's development has definitely stalled. I really don't know.

Maybe I'm biased, but Pat Evra has to be there. I see him as the outstanding left backl in world football at the minute.

Marcelo as the left back? He's terrible, really a poor man's Roberto Carlos, without any of the attacking ability.

The best LB in La Liga is one in this group: Luis Felipe, Jeremy Mathieu, Juan Capdevila, Eric Abidal.

How anyone can leave the best pound for pound striker in the world out of the La Liga team is beyond me.

EDIT: And he's leading scorer this season. The football knowledge on here sometimes

Marcelo is possibly the worst left back in La Liga.

La Liga:

GK: Casillas
RB: Ujfalusi
CB: Pique
CB: Puyol
LB: Antonio Lopez
RM: Messi
CM: Xavi
CM: Alonso
LM: Iniesta
ST: Kun
ST: Ibra

Navas, Busquets, Capdevila, Villa (hahahaha, yeah, he should be there) and Forlan are all worth honourable mentions too.

Prem:

GK: Reina
RB: Carragher
CB: Skrtel
CB: Ferdinand
LB: Evra
CDM: Mascherano
CDM: Essien
RAM: Lennon
CAM: Gerrard
LAM: Benayoun
ST: Torres

Yeah, I don't care. I'm biased as f**k.

OK, well based on the Castrol rankings, if the two leagues were to put up their best eleven in a 4-4-3, with not a lot of worries about being AM or DM or RB or LB (i.e just the best defenders on there), the teams would be:

EPL:

GKR - Van der Sar
DEF - Terry
DEF - Vidic
DEF - Ivanovic
DEF - Alex
MID - Lampard
MID - Malouda
MID - Arshavin
FWD - Rooney
FWD - Drogba
FWD - Torres

And La Liga:

GKR - Aranzubia
DEF - Pique
DEF - Dani Alves
DEF - Puyol
DEF - Squillaci
MID - Ronaldo
MID - Xavi
MID - Keita
FWD - Messi
FWD - Henry
FWD - Villa

who the f**k is number 34??????????

There really is a shortage of decent right backs in the premier league.  Off the top of my head:

Utd = Da Silva or Neville
Chelsea = Ivanovic
Arsenal = Sanga
Perennial strugglers Liverpool = Johnson or Carragher
Spurs = Corluka
Citeh = Richards or Zabbaletta
Villa = Cuellar
Bum = Carr?????
Everton = Neville or Hibbert
Fulham = Pantsil

From the rest of the teams, you are looking at Faubert, Stennson at Bolton (actually, not a bad player from memory), Melchiott and god knows who else.

Going on form, the premier league RB would probably be Phil Neville due to Sanga having a pretty poor season (from what I have seen), Johnson being injured, Ivanovic being a lump and Neville being past it by about 8 years.  Actually, if you play Sol Campbell at centre back and stand him sideways, his ass could play right back

More Champions League winners medals than Roy Keane, him. Well, it's 1-0, but still. Maybe Greening is in line for a Europa medal this season?
