EG, your tip for Croatia...??
Croatia's group:
Germany = side on the up, although I'm not as impressed by them as
many other people seem to be. Klose is an excellent striker and
works well with Podolski, but the key to playing Germany is to
stifle the midfield and not let those guys get decent service.
We're a more creative side than them, and they're certainly
beatable, but will be a tough game.
Poland = the Poles strike me as a side that's good enough to
qualify, particularly since even the best teams in Europe struggle
to beat them at home, but is not really good enough to compete at
the big tournaments. If we play to our potential (and that's not
always a certainty), we should take care of them.
Austria = easily the worst team at the Championships. If we don't
beat them in the first game, we should just pack up and go home
straight away.
If my group predictions are right, then we'd play a team from Group
A in the quarters, none of whom I'm particularly scared off,
although Portugal would be the most difficult opponent of the lot.
Win that, and a semi against another team from Group A or B
(Croatia's group), and the path to the final doesn't seem overly
difficult. And then in the final...Greece! Although Greece's path
to the final is more difficult, given that many of the best teams
at the Championships are on their side of the draw (by this I mean
Spain, France, Italy and Romania in particular).el
