One of the hardest parts of international tournaments for me is the first day when there isn’t a few games to watch.

One of the hardest parts of international tournaments for me is the last day when so many good teams have fallen by the wayside and are not in the final.

Surprised to see how well the Czechs played and how the Dutch wilted in the second half (the red card did not help).  In the end, there was no doubt the Czechs deserved their victory, despite coming out only in the third place of their group.

Poor kick from a player who has played poorly all tournament. That’s rough on the guy. Hope he bounces back. Not a fan of him heading straight down the tunnel after his miss though.

Thought pogba and kante were still immense today. And pogba has been the player of the tournament so far.

They won't get past the 1/4's if there's a penalty shoot out.

I’m surprised at the English restraint on here. I am expecting years of insufferableness.

For me the best result so far was the French getting knocked out.

Haha! I’ve a friend who amongst a few claims a bit of Italian nationality and he simply said ‘Good Riddance.’ Pogba into form and out the door at United?

England might have the easiest draw on paper while Italy might just have an edge over Belgium due to injuries in the Reds team. Also, Spain looks good on paper, but have you seen how the Swiss have kept their form since the World Cup?
Also, I would not underestimate the Czech Republic - Denmark game as the winner of this might be the team that goes all the way. They're both great to watch.

Being here in the UK hearing the old chant of footies coming home, no one has mentioned that this is really a home torney for England like the last time they actually won something ('66).

Morrell and Co were booked by some of the YF stalwarts for the England games, so this might be your best bet.  I will ask Danny to reconfirm.

Well, preferably if Ingerlund make it. I think it'll be too cold to watch Denmark!

Thoughts on the referee? imho I think he is doing really well. Allowing the game to flow but also not putting up with any nonsense. Plus, keeping the cards under control. I hope most referees would be of his standard to be honest.

Italians win on penalties. Actually was a very entertaining game, full of attacking from both sides. Referee was very good.

He's the guy who did Engalnd v Ukraine. Was good then too. German I think. He's got to be in line for the final.

Its no longer a problem.

More importantly, can we sell him the New Zealand lifestyle and have him referee in the A League!!

2-1 Penalty. Was there actually any contact? Or an opportunistic "dive"?

Have seen it from a few different angles and hard to tell. One looks like there was no contact and another appears a defender did get him. Either way, a soft penalty.
