Stuart Pierce told me before the U21 European Championships that any player in his squad is good enough to play for my Senior team.
fabio_capello_ Fabio Capello
Well they fucking won none of their games, drew two and lost one. If you ask me they are more than fucking good enough.

Watched England stumble to defeat against Norway. Then again against Israel. Enjoyable seeing a few millionaires getting come-uppance.
"At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive...
I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...
Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand...
Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."
Yeah, hilarious to watch. Pearce is just an awful, awful manager.
Netherlands vs Italy could be a cracker of a game. And Norway looked tidy, possibly could cause an upset. Spain should have enough for them though.
According to the Telegraph Pearce is already doomed. Been in the job too long anyway.

The bloody Italians nicked it again! Spain v Italy final. They'll probably do it there too.

I've been really impressed with the Italians, to be fair.
Same final as Euro 2012- hopefully the same result!
Looking forward to this game early tomorrow. can't wait to see something close to this level of player in 2 years out here.
Kotahitanga. We are one.
We let in two goals ffs. Otherwise, I'd have to agree with Thiago- a 'perfect tournament'.
Thiago has everything. Koke is brilliant- I'm glad he got to play nearly all of the tournament. Can't go wrong with a bit of Atleti in the national team!
Fair play to the Italians- they were really good.
Isco has had a great tournament too. So much talent coming through. Wonder how many of these great players will stay in Spain though, given the economic situation. It appears Spanish players are moving abroad at an earlier age.
Kotahitanga. We are one.
Yeah, Isco was really too good for the tournament.
Better than going to Real or Barca too early and not getting a look in, I suppose. Too much is made of how hard the Premier League is too, imo. Leaving Spain could be good for some of them though, although obviously I would rather see the Spanish players playing in Spain.
Wait until you see Oliver Torres at the next tournament (or at the U-20 WC soon). He's magnificent.
Just wonder what effect it has on a 21 yo playing in Spain vs playing EPL or Championship; differnet kind of football altogether.
Kotahitanga. We are one.
As long as they develop in Spain they'll be alright for the most part, I reckon. Mata is still young and he's not doing so bad, for example.
"England stank these Euros out long before (Israel's) goal completed their humiliation. Their coach Stuart Pearce, will undoubtedly pay the price."
Henry Winter, chief football writer in the Telegraph. UK press tells it how it is.
