I saw a series of tweets that suggested their stats are all within the normal range. It suggested they had higher numbers because the ball was in play more on average than other teams. And that the amount of spriting they did was lower than Liverpool's last season.

Croatia in turmoil as Luka Modric and Domogoj Vida are involved in training ground bust up
That looks like E.T. wearing a wig on the left v Gandalf on the right.

You're not a ref are you?
Really enjoyed Belgium's "golden generation / dark horse" not winning anything again.
"Packed with some of the finest premier league talent and Fellaini."
This mornings game was tough to watch - I kinda liked Belgium to win it, but hate Fellani with a passion among their other EPL players. I also liked the French to do well with their youth and pace, Mbappe is gonna be a massive star!
France will destroy England in the final - assuming Croatia dont do it first (I so want this to happen)

They beat Brazil and lost to a slightly better all around side in France. Definitely didn't underachieve this time.
Had Belgium won I wouldn't have minded Croatia getting through but I'm all about the France England potential final now.
Sad to see Belgium drop out of the competition but France were fully deserving of their win and I have them as firm favourites to win the final.
As for the game itself I didn't find it that exciting or engaging tbh
England v Croatia is going to be an absolute cracker tomorrow I think and I have a feeling there will be a few goals.

Interesting take. I thought it was a game of a very high standard. Surprisingly open for a semi-final game, and not for some good keeping, could have had a few more goals. One of the games were I wanted extra time, not because it was a terrible game and only penalties would save it, but because it was very entertaining.

Belgium technically not out they have the mighty 3rd/4th playoff on Saturday!
Heard some French fans bumped into some English fans in Moscow
English fans : we're playing Croatia tomorrow
French fans : What a coincidence, we're playing them on Sunday!
I wanted Belgium to win, but I must say that France didn't allow them to get going much. Very strong defensively. So much for Lukaku being my golden boot pick. Did he get to touch the ball three times?

Lukaku still in for the boot; Hattrick in 3/4 playoff and Harry drawing blanks 2 games in a row....
But not something I'd put a lot of money on.
Sadly only got to see about the first 30 minutes before being called to family emergency. Was surprised when i heard France had won as thought it was mostly Belgium in the early part and they were unlucky not to have scored.

That's because he spent most of it offside.

Actually I was reflecting on my post today and you're probably right: the game was good, it was more a fact that I had no affinity with either team that probably took the edge off the game for me, where as tomorrow even if it is a dull dreary game I will be on the edge of my seat the whole time
Such is football!

It was a decent enough game, particularly for a semi. Won't be remembered years from now though.

Bit different from tomorrow's game where you know whatever the result, English fans will still be going on about it 50 years later :D

They're still banging on about 1966 and Ohhhhh Bobby!
Should England lose, will we inundated with a new England song? "England's coming Home, they're coming, they're coming" sounds a goodie.
back home, they'll be talking about us, when we are far away, back home.....
How good is Mbappe tho?

Been around in different tournaments since 2016. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substitute_(association_football)
Awful 2nd half but I hope Croatia stick it up the French.
Well done Croatia. Man, they are one tough team.

Yeh. Subs came too late twice.
All Croatia after the first half
What would Andy Heraf make of it, I wonder. A nation of 4 million ought not to be doing that!
Was Kane injured or just out foxed by Lovren?
Croatia good value for the win.
Hard to see how they can win the final.
Perfect example of why long ball football fails at the highest level.
England went long from the beginning and for the 1st 20 minutes it caused Croatia big problems with Sterlings pace but they adjusted and the tactic rarely caused any more problems. England have relied heavily on set pieces this world cup and its been good for them but their inability to play the ball forward consistently in the final third is just an ongoing problem.
Croatia never went long and the majority of time this will beat long ball. Its a problem the English have never worked out, they simply dont get it.
The weird thing is that England were smart with how they handled things at the back, often drawing the Croatian players all the way forward which in turn stretched Croatia. England also at times played through the middle third from the back when starting from the keeper and so had some variety but as the game went on they more and more resorted to long balls forward and that just killed them because for every long ball forward that caused a problem there were 10 others that were just lost possession.
So incredibly frustrating to watch and disappointing too.
Well deserved win by Croatia, they are just so much more hungry and they have super solid players.
England had just two shots on goal that sums it up for me.
Absolutely gutted. No doubt Croatia were the better team.
I'll probably get told I'm just a one eyed England fan but i thought Croatia got away with a number of pretty questionable shoulder hits. Particularly on Kane. There's shoulder to shoulder but i thought these went beyond that.
England could have had a couple of corner kicks near the end too which was a shame they weren't given.
Should be a pretty interesting final. Hopefully France dick them.
