Mike Wallace to the Vikings, they gave a 5th & got a 7th...
Kenny Stills went to Dolphins
Scott Chandler to Patriots
Christian Ponder to Raiders
Seriously this is the most insane Free Agency EVER!

Oh and Darren McFadden went to Dallas...Bahahahaha I don't know what to think anymore.
So it looks like the Saints are changing their direction, probably more run heavy
Added Unger & Spiller (RB), and re-signed Ingram (RB)
Traded Graham (TE) & Stills (WR)
Eagles have gone nuts
McCoy, Maclin & Foles out, Mathews, Murray & Bradford in...
I'll try and do a full run down of teams and their changes today...this has been so crazy, everytime I have started to write something it has changed again...
Anyone got a preference for a division for me to look at first?
from what I gather, none of these free agency deals have been of any benefit to me. In fact, they've been quite detrimental.
Stills to Dolphins can't be good.
Will there be a few surprise teams this season do you think? (Both in the NFL and our fantasy league)
Yeah I think the majority of these moves won't be good for my team either. Every time I think that a move could be a positive for one of my young WR, another trade happens to push them back down the pecking order.
Jono - how about the AFC East - looks like all the teams are trying to make a run at catching the Pats (I'm slightly biased being a Bills fan).
No idea, is really crazy, I've never seen anything like it..though I think in general won't be too many surprises in the NFL.
Seahawks still likely top of NFC West, though Cardinals should be cclearly be second, 49ers last
Patriots will still win AFC East
THink Broncos will be a loser this year (But no one should really be surprised by that), Chargers to top that division, Chiefs second.
AFC North will be close as always, probably Steelers on top, Bengals & Ravens fighting for 2nd, Browns third
AFC South will go to the Colts with ease - The other teams in Division just aren't very good.
NFC South should see the Falcons & Panthers fighting for top spot, I'd pick the Falcons, but Saints may be the surprise in that division, I'd say it will be close again though as none of the teams is stand out awesome.
NFC East will be a coin toss as always, I would suggest that it'll be the Cowboys, but they need a new RB, as Run DMC is terrible.
And that leaves my favourite NFC North, The Vikings will be improved this year whether AP is back or not, their young defenders are all a year older, they added Mike Wallace, and Teddy has experience and will be the starter in Preseason. Lions will be up there, though their Defense which has always been a strong point looks weaker this year, Packers continue to be the team to beat in the division, and the bears will probably be last.

I think the Patriots will still have it, the biggest problem for the other teams is the lack of a good QB.
BIlls have Cassell & Manuel
Jets have Geno & Fitzpatrick
Fins have Tannehill
Actually think Fitzpatrick is the best QB of all of those guys, think if he starts and can throw well to Marshall & Decker then Jets could be quite competitive with Vereen, and their Def is probably one of the best in the league this year. Though not sure how all the Egos will go there.
Bills have some very nice pieces, but think without a better QB they don't go anywhere (PS. an Andy Dalton or Alex Smith would be enough)
As for the Fins I think their issue will be on Defense this season, Tannehill is solid enough if they can get a good base, will be interesting to see how their run game goes this year, looks like for the first time ever they might have a single lead back.
Could be a division to watch, but I think the Patriots are still to strong.
Right well, I'll start with the NFC West as they have the alphabetically first "Arizone Cardinals"
NFC West

does your wife know you have this much time on your hands?
Pretty much, she knows I have spreadsheets for everything :D I have Netflix now, so no promises on the amount of time I have left :D
LeVeon Bell suspended 3 games, is appealing suspension.
Guess Latavius Murray or Terence West will have to start for me :D
After the Rookie draft I'll start a new thread for the 2015 season, but for now will continue to post stuff in here. I'm going to have some fun with some dynasty rankings from groups of experts today, and come up with a combined ranking of all players. Then use that to project the best teams in our league, ignoring the Kickers & Defenses.
LOL it appears most rankings really take age into account when doing these rankings, of course this is a factor, but I might need to use some current season rankings though.
Using Dynasty only rankings my team is 270pts better than Troopers...hmmm.
In saying that though after Rodgers, Lynch, Jordy & Gronk the Troopers line-up has a LOT of average guys Ranked in the 40-60 mark...
Evaluation of Top 5 Teams from 2014
Looking at the teams from Players Dynasty Rank at Position & Avg Draft Position for 2015
Team | Dynasty Pts | 2015 Pts | +/- Total | Team Strength | Team Need 1 | Team Need 2 |
Mos Eisley Troopers | 582 | 513 | -195 | QB/TE | WR2 & WR3 | RB2 |
Belgian Waffles | 310 | 348 | 23.5 | RB | TE | WR3 |
Fairfield Fairies | 558 | 515 | -184 |
WR | Flex | WR2 |
Nialls Paul | 213 | 286 | 103 | WR | TE* | RB2 |
Midas Whale | 487 | 493 | -137.5 | RB | WR | TE |
A low score is best in Dynasty/2015, while a Positive score is best in Total
My Thoughts
The Troopers have VERY good starters in their top positions, QB/TE/RB1/WR1, but are in desperate need of depth, after Gronk (#1), Rodgers (#2), Lynch (#8) & Nelson (#12) at their positions the next best ranking is in the 30s or 40s at their position.
My team (Waffles) looks very strong at RB, not just with starters Charles & Bell, but also on the bench with West, Davis, Murray, Carey and others. WRs look good enough to do a job, one more solid starter needed, but TE is the real weakness.
The Fairies Seem to be average in almost every category for dynasty, about average for a one-off season, WR looks strong enough to continue with, while Flex looks to be the weakness. WR2 & RB2 look weak as well, though not far off the norm across the league. Their numbers are greatly influenced by Royal & Roberts having to be included on their bench while ranking above 70 at their position. Excluding those two puts the team to about -100
Nialls Paul is the best of these 5 teams on all rankings. In mentioning TE as a need, it is kind of just based on the numbers, Only positions in Dynasty rankings where his player is below average is at TE, RB1 & QB. Huge depth in this team as well, TE slightly worse than the QB RB on rankings.
Midas Whale would be the average team in this method of calculation, WR is the clear weaskness for this squad with no Top 20 players at the position. Their reserves also look short on depth with Andre Holmes, Rainey & James Jones having to appear on a 7 man bench for them, even though they are all ranked outside the top 70. As with Fairies, if we remove those players that clearly need replacing in this line-up we net a -61 score, which puts the team a lot more clearly into the average area for my counting.

Adrian Peterson traded to Oakland Raiders
Ok you got me, rumours that they are interested...seriously this would be the WORST landing spot for me. First it'd see him gone from my Vikings, but it'd then also see him in front of Latavius Murray who is currently my RB3 in my YF Fantasy Team.
