I watched most of the game. these were some of my thoughts and emotions in no particular order.
a. 1-0 after 30mins of football, its not possible it could end like this, maybe they could get extremely lucky. Come on Tahiti play out of your skins.
b. They are out of their league and you can see but not playing much worse than the All whites would right now.
c. I don't care if this game ends up 5 nil or 10 nil. good on tahiti for getting forward and going for goal pretty much the whole game. Their coach definitely must have missed the Ricki Herbert Long Ball 101 course.
d. jeez i would love it if they get a goal.
e. Save the penalty. save the penalty...miss...miss..Yesssss! and the goal keeper plays to the crowd...love it.
f. Maybe it would be interesting if Spain banged in 15. now they got to 8 they may as well keep going...sorry Tahiti.
g. actually it is good another Oceania nation was given or took the chance to experience this. 72,000 people in the stadium and 65,000 of them cheering for Tahiti.
h. after this some people will say that Oceania should lose the direct spot to the confederations. I disagree even more now, this is exactly the reason why it should be available. It is a world game, and all confederations should be represented. This sort of experience will only help to reduce the gap in the long run.
