What does anyone think about the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup? I know that New Zealand would get a thrashing against Spain and Uruguay but may of got a win or draw against the african champions.

Considering that the African champion might be one of the Ivory Coast, Ghana or Nigeria, I'd say pretty unlikely.

We wont get a thrashing - nor a win - as we're not in the 2013 Confeds cup...Tahiti is our Representative for this edition

How many red cards do we think they'll manage over 3 games?

My error I should of said that IF New Zealand qualified they would get a thrashing by Spain and Uruguay.

6. They'll get frustrated when they are losing 15-0 and start chopping down players.

Didn't we lose 5 zip to Spain when we did play at the confederations cup in 2009?  Who got Torres's shirt?

Tahiti go 4 goals down then set out to break Joel griffiths legs?

Wonder if this is a ploy by Sydney FC to make Joel Griffiths miss fewer A-League games, wouldn't surprise me if Sydney applied to the FFA for this to be an official friendly so it would reduce his ban by one.

Tahiti will play Chilean second division club Deportivo Magallanes on Saturday in preparation for the FIFA Confederations Cup which could be interesting. Also playing Chile U20 at some stage as well before moving onto Brazil for the cup.

Pretty nervous about how Tahiti will conduct themselves...

Is any of this tournament on TV here? I know it's not the most important tournament in the world, but I'm looking forward to it.

Sky in negotiations.

I would place a bet on them trying to get 5 players sent off as quickly as possible so they get slapped a 3-0 loss in each of their games.

I'd place a bet they've added - or are about to add -  a few more France-based 'Tahitians' to their squad now that the French season has ended.

"At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive...

I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...

Her name is Rio, she don't need to understand...

Oh Rio, Rio, hear them shout across the land..."

Final squad has been named and only 1 addition by the looks of it, 33yr old former France youth international Marama Vahirua, plays as a striker for Nancy in Ligue 1

Touché, but apparently Richcraft hasn't realised this.

Maybe I'm more hopeful that while they will lose, they won't lose by double figure scores. They have had a positive start to their trip, given the travel and change in climate.

All he said was that he hopes they can score a goal

Ignore reports such as in the NZ Herald that the Brazil v England friendly tomorrow morning (live on ESPN 6.55am) has been cancelled due to a court injunction over stadium safety - a judge had banned the game from taking place but this has since been overturned:

Game off: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10887605

Game back on: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2333714/Brazil-v-England-ahead-Maracana-safety-fears-dismissed.html

Still, seems there's a lot of unfinished work to do on the stadium, as with the other Confeds Cup venues. The Maracana hots the Confeds Cup Final as well as the World Cup final next year...

So, will be fascinating to see how things pan out tomorrow regarding the stadium.

Chile U20's beat Tahiti 7-0 today. Can't wait to see what Spain do to them.

This.  They are there because they deserve to be - it is not their fault we fucked the whole thing up.  Instead of looking petty we should be hoping they do well
