I have a EuroSport 2 feed - two English commentators.
I miss the Arabic commentator and Luongo "Swindon Town".

You look at these players who've been decent, but not legendary in the A-league and gone on and become quite handy players and wonder what it would take to get that happening for some Kiwis. I'm thinking Leckie, Jedinak, Ryan and Kruse here.
Give Cahill a yellow card ref.
Send this UAE team to train in Samoa for a couple of months and they'd be a seriously dangerous outfit!!
couple of interesting calls on the offsides there
Outrageous tekkers from Ryan there!
Do Asia a massive favour UAE...
Not tonight Josephine.

Rack off, Matilda.
Some poor calls by the AR tonight.

Pretty poor comment, Junior.
Sarah Ho would have called it right.

Most of those players would have been legendary if they stuck around in the A-League. A player generally just starts hitting their stride and then they jet off. It's rare that someone dominates the A-League and then leaves (like Rojas did).
Nasty from Jedinak
careless rather than reckless
Nasty from Jedinak
Yep, that was absolutely deliberate.

#sarc? Anytime you get studs into achilles it isn't pretty, esp. on their highly skilled playmaker
If Korea versing Australia was in my backyard - I'd stay inside and close the curtains.
But go Korea, I suppose.
add two interesting corner calls to two interesting off side calls
What the fudge was that McKay?
I know they are different types of players but for me Burns has been far more impressive in his appearances than Juric.
Franjic goes on a run but totoris the ball out over the sideline.
A poor 2nd half from Australia, they will need to do better on Saturday.
To think I wasted over an hour of my life on the dross dished out by both sides after the first 20-25 minutes.

Could possibly add Barbarouses to that list.

Why am I being 'over the top' on one keyboard warrior? Because at some point, there needs to be a line in the sand that cannot be crossed when it comes to abusing officials. I've been refereeing 23 years and I have pretty much seen it all at every level. What gets on my goat the most is the people that say 'Oh I'd never be a referee. You get too much abuse' but are then the first to complain when they don't have one that weekend. Yeah we all have days where we are a little bit less than stellar and have earned a bit of stick but that’s not open licence for people to feel they have a god given divine right to speak to a referee anyway they like. Yes the decision is incorrect. Did it affect the game? Do you think he knows he got it wrong? Does he need to be told to get back in the kitchen?
The two hardest things we have is getting referees at an age where you can turn them into a referee at a high level and keeping referees. Player numbers are growing, referee numbers are not. Young officials get abused and leave the game and some people just get to a point where they are sick of it and would rather stay home. I've seen some young guys reduced to tears and they have nothing they can do other than just quit. The instant cards are shown, the referee must be over the top and is ruining the game. When nothing is done, they need to harden up and punish the players. This just does not belong in football at all. There are some things you just cannot say to someone and expect it to be ok. For all you know, the next future FIFA official could be standing next to you at a football ground or reading an internet forum and then thinks 'nup, not for me. I'd rather be a mediocre footballer thanks'
This is not tiddlywinks as C-Diddy says and opinion comes with microscopic glare and that’s fine. I have no issue if people want to tee off on officials for being less than stellar but for being an AR?!? I’ve never been a PC person but that’s just rubbish. You may not represent the club or other fans but you do represent yourself and should have a little more respect to not go to such levels as that. Put your keyboard down and walk away for everyone’s sake. I won’t be saying anymore on this so it’s the end of my ‘overboard posts’.
Banzai. J82 has every right to say the AR had a bad night, if the AR had a bad night. It is stating a fact, not being rude.
Before I turned the game off, I saw two honking calls (offside in your own half). That is having a bad night.
Just like we scrutinise our sports stars, we do the same of those who officiate it. You can not bubble wrap and cotton ball every official. If this comment puts off one referee, then they may not have suited the position.
It's a reference to some posters slagging off an AR in a previous nix game and subsequent discussion/debate.
I think my reply now should be along the lines of an apology or asking stevo to "chillax".
It's a piss take.

Soz.
Chillax dude.
If poor officiating is going to result in Australia lifting the Asian Cup then long may it continue.
Viva la Crap Match Officials!!!

Oi, it's "Les Crap Match Officials", as in Sir Les Patterson".
This may not be what you mean, but it is the message I hear when I read that you want us to "forget" it:
Let's and sweep it under the carpet and pretend it never happened.
Unfortunately to me that is indistinguishable from condoning it.
It's not okay.
Defending it is not okay.
Asking us to "forget it" is not okay.
Asking us to "move on" - well, that's different. That's not dismissing it, minimising it or forgetting it. It's accepting it happened, acknowledging it was not okay, and implicitly stating that if it happens again, it will get jumped on.
Forgetting it, on the other hand, implies that if/when it happens again the fact that it has happened before will be ignored.
So my vote at least is that we do NOT forget it.
Go Korea.
????
Pretend what never happened?

that the Asian Cup thread should be about some dude's trolling, because it is slightly more sophisticated than the average?
What are you on about?
What are you on about?
I'm lost too.
I would like to see Australia lifting their game for the final. They have the potential to win the game.
On the other hand, I think it may finally be Korea's time to lift the trophy. They always underperformed at AFC Cup.
Who knows, if Australia loses the final, AFC may even allow New Zealand to join the Asian Confederation.
