Actually, I've forgiven Kruse his hack on Leo (given that he was playing with hacks and for a drunk at the time) and he's been through the Ernie treatment and been playing for a decent team in a good league. Usually quite decent to watch.

The phone disappears once you mouse over it. It is a Samsung ad that is played clearly for the benefit of people like us who are streaming it rather than watching it on telly (Eurosport 2).

Pretty good first hit out for Aus after a slow start.

Burns did not disgrace himself.

I think the Ockeroos will win the group due to home advantage  - but South Korea might push them close in that game. 

Aussies will improve with each game  - scrappy first half tonight.

Their defence is pretty average and could be found out by some of the better sides like South Korea, Japan, Uzbekistan or Iran.

They'll find enough goals from people like Cahill, Kruze and Burns.

Jedinak is solid but I don't see a lot of creativity in that midfield - Leckie pretty average tonight until he woke up late on, Luongo good in the first half, Troisi okay.

Only watched second half but looked very good, pretty sure he got the assist for Luongo? Him and Behich (more so Behich) were getting a lot of room to go forward.

The NK keeper is one of only 5 survivors from the previous Asian Cup campaign. Presumably because the rest were murdered.

Do they not have goal line technology for this tournament? Looked suspiciously like the keeper clawed that back from over the line.
