As much as I liked his presentation I am struggling to see the reason why Moss is not in the side, unless he has really been dropped. I understand that Hudson still sees him as the number one but wants to see others? Well I would imagine that Gleeson will play both games against China and Thailand - that is fine and he could still do that with Moss in the squad. Hudson also wants to change the culture, well assuming that Moss is viewed as part of the team going forward and one of the leaders wouldn't he want him involved in this contact time? The young goalie he has picked on the bench he is going to see plenty of during the under 20 campaign or potentially the Olympics surely? Someone a little while back, said it was to help out the Phoeonix but I don't buy that as we brought an Ausi for that express purpose to be Moss's number two and he has just signed a contract extension. Reading between the lines I can't think of one good reason why Moss wouldn't be in the squad, unless Hudson truely doesn't rate him and wants him gone. Thoughts?

Think it's far more valuable to have the 2nd choice keeper than have a younger guy like Sail for a little bit of experience.

Hudson's main problem is time with the team. He already knows what Moss can do and he's one of the few guys who is consistently playing week in week out.

Anyway, I think Hudson presents himself well. Whether this translates to improvement on the pitch is yet to be seen; I hope he doesn't get weighed down by the politics of NZ football. Also, even if he does everything perfectly there is still a pretty big chance we won't improve that much due to the small pool of players and the fact he has to re-work everything from the ground up.

Too bad Ryan and Simon aren't around and in their prime still. Reid is a great player but he isn't the talismanic figure we need.
