IP addresses are public information, it's not exactly tracking anything. Someone on twitter mentioned that when they googled the IP address it came up as associated with NZF, and in response to 2ndbest above I thought I would dig a little deeper to confirm. It took all of two minutes.

How is it distasteful in anyway?

I actually want to see Hudson do well, I don't have any grudge against him, I think the bulik of the issues that we have are from Martin and not Hudson and I'm excited to see what he will do with the team in the US. 

It was just a matter of curiosity really.
