I was at Beijing Workers Stadium last night for the dead rubber between Beijing Guo'an and Nagoya Grumpy. Bollock Puncher was one of the best players for Guo'an, and likewise Ryan Griffiths when he was subbed on. Considering that the bulk of the Chinese national team play domestically, Australian players certainly compare well, even second stringers like the Griffiths brothers.
After somehow falling at the final hurdle against an Indonesian side that had previously failed to score a goal, Shandong join all the other Chinese sides at failing to advance, which comapres very badly with all Japanese sides advancing. I wonder if Japanese sides dominating too much, as seems very possible, will damage the AFC's effort to bring the ACL to the next level. We might as well just watch the J-League.
