 Interesting things to note:

Korea & China back up to 4 spots. The playoff losers no longer drop into the AFC Cup, but will have a season without continental football.

Brisbane were scheduled to play Buriram at Suncorp on Feb 9th, but the Roar are playing Western Sydney that weekend. The A-League helpfully refused to allow them to move the league fixture so they could qualify for the ACL.

Brisbane asked to move the ACL game to the 6th, but it's a FIFA window, and Thailand are playing Kuwait in Asian Cup qualifying that date. Brisbane then suggested the 13th, and now Buriram are being arsey and saying because it's not their fault the match must be re-scheduled, they want to play in Thailand. They claim that Brisbane have agreed to this, and the AFC have all but approved it. An AFC announcement should be made soon.

I guess it's not just the Nix/AllWhites the FFA are out to screw over.

Official AFC announcement confirms that the game will be in Buriram on Feb 13th. The English language reports clear up some of the misreporting from the Thai media I was translating from. It turns out that Brisbane are away to Sydney on the weekend of 9/10 Feb (not home to WSW); Suncorp is unavailable because of the Aboriginal v NRL All-Star league match that's been moved from Gold Coast this year. It was the AFC, not the FFA who were inflexible, demanding the game be played in Aus on the 9th.
