Carlos & Kenny on the bench.

No surprise there. I doubt they are good enough.

Cripes this is dull. One bit of slapstick early on which nearly resulted in an own goal and that's it.

Not sure how Costa Rica beat Mexico. They are not a WC side.

Apart from making stupid comments Tegal, why don't you start making football comments.
Fact is you know nothing about the game.

You must be on the piss again Buffy. As already mentioned he has forgotten more about the game than you will ever know.

I think I make more footballing comments than you.

All you tend to say is one sentence posts along the lines of.

"I doubt they are good enough"

"Brisbane are the best team in the league"

"Our players aren't as good as theirs"

It's fairly predictable, miserable, lacks any sort of substance and can hardly be called "football comments"

If he misses any more open goals like that one earlier the coach probably wont look at him ever again.

Really?
Perhaps that is cheaper to fly two players from NZ to Australia than from Costa Rica might explain something.
Also Carlos only got on for the last 12 mins and Kenny did not.
Perhaps after all they are not good enough. I bet neither will be at the WC next year.
Got nothing to do do with being miserable, it might be knowing something about football.

Unless there are two Cunninghams in the squad I think you'll find Kenny was on in the 2nd half.

Thanks JV.
Have to admit I missed Cunningham coming on. The only thing I remember Carlos doing was to give Cahill a headache.
Still stand by what  I said. Both will not get to the WC.

Any other opinions on Hernandez and Cunningham? Odd that Kenny isn't making the Phoenix squad but is fit enough for the international, I guess we will see next round if it was an injury or just not fitting into the gameplan.

That's a good point Ryan.
How is a guy good enough for international football but can't get a run for a club. It does not happen often but that is glaring.

Could we see a Stein to the bench and Kenny starting move?

To be fair it's still early days but I must admit I'm concerned that KC might be yet another in a long line of import duds.

The good: he looked quick and keen, at one point made a good interception (but then passed the ball to no one). The bad: schoolboy errors all over the park, inaccurate passing and an embarassingly muffed chance to put Costa Rica one up when he missed an open goal at the far post.

Hopefully Ernie can somehow lever him into a role that suits him otherwise he might be riding the bench a fair bit this season.

vs.Croatia in Brazil June 6 in the Socceroos' last warm-up:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-01-17/socceroos-to-play-croatia-in-final-pre-world-cup-friendly/5204872

"The Socceroos' next clash will be their friendly on March 5 in Europe with the FFA yet to confirm an opponent.

Australia will then play their farewell game at Sydney's OIympic stadium in late May before departing for Brazil.

While Scotland and Sweden were initially touted as options, with the Croatia match on the cards, it looks likely Ange Postecoglou's side will face a non-European team in the send-off match."

+ Robbie Kruse now out for rest of Bundesliga season and probably will miss World Cup. Poor kid - that really couldn't be worse timing for him:

Not many but the question was brought up on twitter, will it cover if an existing club changes its branding? There are a few clubs with ethnic elements on their crests that may wish to retain their heritage if they ever want to change them.

Absolutely ludicrous proposal on the same day the FFA announced the FFA Cup; which includes many 'ethnic' clubs.

Embracing multiculturalism by removing all aspects of it - classic.
