Surely green shorts with yellow socks would be slightly less shark

Agree.

FIFA directive to have shorts and shirts the same colour - one team dark, one team light. Their thinking is that it makes it easier for the refs.

That's a worse crime than all the bribery and corruption. Sack FIFA.

Allegedly

So when does this come into effect as all the WC internationals I have watched this weekend  are not following the directive.

It's not a rule but a directive, http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/fifa-n...

England's new kits - white shirt and shorts for home, red shirt and shorts for away.

Should be good, especially that only a win guarantees a top spot for Australia.

http://wiz1.net/channel1

If they do not top the group, it can go awkwardly pearshape if the Saudis beat UAE few hours later.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Not correct, they are two points ahead of Jordan. A draw will be enough.

England 2 Australia 1

Good game to watch. Aussies played a lot better than I thought they would and had the better in midfield for a lot of the game.

Ange has done a great job with these players.

Sounds like Mooy's efforts this morning reduced his chances of being in the A-League next season a lot.

Only A-League player selected is Cahill, allowing him to skip facing us Week 1 & having his debut in the Melbourne Derby Week 2 ... not that Ange has done that on purpose

Omar Abdulrahman who plays for the UAE it is said by many could become the greatest player Asia has ever produced. He is almost worth the price of a ticket by himself.

With UAE beating Japan at home and if they beat us this week, they will be hard to peg back from finishing in the top 3. This is a huge game pertaining to Australian WCQ .

Omar will be difficult to keep quite.

I am looking forward to this next game.

Does this mean the Melbourne Cahill's start the season on 3 points?

Decent result, sees us top of our group, I can't even imagine what it must be like to play in that heat.

If you see just before the goal Saint Timmy gives  his defender a nudge to create space for himself ...

some highlights .... see the little nudge just after a minute into the vid.

Burns has been struggling to get game time for Tokyo, guess Ange is after people who have been playing regularly
