It's not that I expected us to dominate Slovakia. It's more just that we were doing so well at the start and then we allowed ourselves to become shellshocked and roped into playing Slovakia's game.

I'm hoping that this loss will actually inspire us to let go of that fear and just play balls to the wall against Italy and Paraguay.

Sadly, the way we have defended against short passing at the top of our box, my fears of Paraguay tearing us to shreds has grown.

We had the best chances when we played the long ball. Playing it on the ground was Slovakia's game and they just made us suffer. That last attempt was a good example of how we should have been playing.

Rankings dont equate to sh*t. Like i said, losing to a good performance, thats one thing. But we undo ourselves even when the standard of opposition on the day is average. Im struggling to see how Slovakia topped their qualifying group playing like this
