Which? I think that england has the best league in the world.
Why? Look at the UEFA champions league, the quality of
players, the coachs and the development of players from youth to
teams like Man.U, Chel$ki so on.

England does ave the best domestic league..It's very well marketed, and it is the highest goal of all footballers I would think..To play in the EPL.

Depends what you mean by 'best'.
English football is the most popular in the world
because of the pace. It's like watching human pinball
compared to Serie A....but the old argument is that the
Italians have the better technique.
I prefer watching Spanish football as it seems to be the
best of both worlds.

Good call. The fact that the EPL is played in the middle of the night means that I would much prefer to watch the Phoenix, but I prefer the EPL to games that do not involve the Phoenix.

Call me old fashioned but a league should be competetive to be
good. We can all name the the top four for next seasons
English Premiership already, make a good guess for the top two
and probably gamble on the winner. So where's the fun in that?
English Championship throws up some good results and is
genuinely competetive. Sunderlands rise up last season was
incredible and who wold have predicted Derby gaining
promotion?
But -dare I say it- further down the leagues it really gets
interesting. No big money clubs means a much more level playing
field. The English Conference (now called the Blue Square
Premiership for chrissakes) has half the table who could
realistically hope for promotion next season while League two has
equally that number who are anxiously looking over their
shoulders.
Now that is exciting, makes entertaining football - and
makes good leagues.

La Liga , much more compact than the EPL, players are technically
superior and there has been a great three way battle for the title
this season, it going to go down to the last round. Beyond the top
4 the EPL is very average in quality.

I like the Brazilian Championship, it has some great young talents
(until they are shipped to Europe) and there are many competitive
teams, while many older brazilians come back and give their
experience back to their team. Although it is never televised in NZ
some games are well worth seeing, adn often there are many goals
oweing to the fact Brazilians are actually interested in scoring
goals unlike many european teams i have seen play.
Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

I agree the EPL is really quite boring but lower down it
gets more interesting.
For me the A league is best.
Nothing to do with whom I support or where I'm from. Its
becuase its a good mix of physical football, skill and class and
its very close, none of the SPL or EPL run aways. And there's
also none of the poofter South American, or European "injuries"
beacuse someone looked at him (read Ronaldo of Portugal or many
Brazilians and Agentinians).
I do though rate Costa Rican club football highly. Saw a
few games earlier this year and really enjoyed them

The A league - cos it's local and the salary cap keeps it
competitive. Also reasonable standard of football with some great
goals.
What's sight without sound? Love without peace? Copulation without conception?

The A-league is definitely right up there.

The French league tends to produce some excellent players.

Whats the obsession with the EPL being the "best", surely its the
most televised league, but i would have to agree with some of the
others who say that latin leagues are more interesting. I would
have to go for a South American league, perhaps the Brazilian
league.
Iv seen a few brazilian games and the talent and flair, awesome goals, as well as the crazy, enraged brain-explosion type tackles, makes it one of the more entertaining. I love seeing those Latin tempers flare!
In my opinion, the obscene amounts of money and professionalism is ruining the game over there. Sure there are some of the best players on big money, but has this translated into success for the English national team? I would argue not. The biggest games are often boring flops, including most cup finals.

Actually thinking about it, some of you are right, EPL is to
predictable, I think the A-league is good, but not the best.
I don't think there is any best league, all have their good
and bad points about them.
