Am going to Japan next January and have been offered the opportunity to go watch a J-league match. I know of the likes of Shinji Ono playing for Urawa but other than that and pretty clueless on who are regarded are some of the better players there. Any teams that anyone would suggest watching, or some players I should look out for? Any New Zealanders playing there?

If you were willing to dip into the wilds of Ibaraki I'd suggest KASHIMA ANTLERS!!!!   And while you're there...  if you see my ex ask her what she wants done with her paintings???
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

You have to watch Urawa, not just because of whats happening on the field, but because of the fans. Simply the best
