We could take Greece by the scruff of the neck and give 'em a good wrestle I reckon. Would also mean the black strip might make an appearance haha

No guarantee that our away strip will be black either, although very likely.

Not sure how much influence FIFA has over the draw but I would imagine that they would want SA to get an easy pool.....if the hosts get dicked in all the pool games it means the locals loose interest early in the tournament.
Would love the AW"S to get in with SA....we could take them!
 
Worst draw for me would be Germany...they would relentlessly grind us to pulp....they just would not stop. most sides cruise a little when a couple of goals up(especially the latin teams). Not the krauts, they would not let up for a minute.
 
I think nelsen was right....we want any easy draw. Screw getting Brazil...the idea is to get points and try and get to the next round. Not be part of some exhibition circus with Brazil

Nah, France will be seeded as long as they qualify tomorrow morning. The Dutch need France and maybe Portugal (have to check on this) to fail to qualify to go into the first pot with other seeds.
If they use the same method as 2006, the top seven teams in order come out as:
Brazil
Germany
Italy
Spain
England
Argentina
France
 
If they use the same method as 2002 and 1998, the teams are the same, but the order (which is unimportant) changes to:
Brazil
Germany
Italy
Spain
England
Argentina
France
 
If the use the rankings component only - something you said was looking likely in the Argentina thread El G - then:
Spain
Brazil
Italy
Germany
Argentina
Netherlands
France
I.e. England lose out to the Dutch, the effect of Euro2008.

That was rumoured in October - it was being considered as an option. Haven't heard anything about it lately, so think they've shelved it for the time being.
