Who is your favourtie football team, league, and player?

My teams are Arsenal and the Phoenix
Leagues: Premier Leage and, just behind, the A-league
Players: Not to sure, I like a lot of the Arsenal players - some of my favourite players used to be Patrick Kluivert, Nuno Gomes, and Diego Forlan, but I don't like those 3 as much anymore.

What about you?loyalgunner2007-08-25 16:19:09

Teams: Toronto FC, the Phoenix, Celtic, AC Milan, Pachuca, and River Plate (also any major european club that has a prominent canadian, currently FC Copenhagen and Rosenborg BK)
Leagues: A-League, Bundesliga. I don't like the way MLS is run but my favourite team just happens to be in it.
Players: Dwayne de Rosario, Julian de Guzman, Pat Onstad, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf

EPL???  Look, it's not the EPL it's the PREMIER LEAGUE! OK?

What next the Bundesliga being described as the GBL, Serie A being described as ISA, the...  ????

Favourite player? I've been lucky and seen a few. So based on those I've seen in the flesh.  Grahame Sharp, Graeme Souness, Michael Platini,Maurice Tillotson, Abedi Pele, Chris Sutton, Zidane, Del Piero, Hristo Stoichkov, Ronaldo. A centreback from Congo whose name I don't know. Only saw him once but what a performance. There are others...
That said. The finest player I have seen was Maradona.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Technically correct. but if you said to someone who's your favourite player in

a) Barclays Premier League
b) Clydesdale Bank Premier League

or

a) EPL
b) SPL

I think you know which options would garner the most recognition straight away.

The English Premier League is not the only league known as the 'Premier League'

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

It might be called the Premier League, but people want to know which Premier League, and that is why we add the 'e' to it. It actually doesn't matter that much.
