Fifa bans games at altitude
This news is a couple of days old now but i don't think anyones
mentioned it.
Fifa has banned internationals above 2500 asl.
It really only effects Andean countries and the powerhouse of Bhutan. Sounds like Brasil etc were getting annoyed at not being able to win away to Ecuador. pretty sh*t for the countries whose capitals are that high up. fair enough if games are being moved to get an advantage, kinda like us playing India on a green seamer, but when you can't play at you own capital thats just wrong. soon it'll be too hot to play in africa, too cold to play in sweden , too humid to play in asia and the locals too backward to play in australia

yeah ecuador coach and managers came out said,
They will appeal the decision, not being able to play in their capital sucks.

Not really giving them there biggest home advantage. I think they
should allow playing at altitude.
They should allow playing at altitude but only at friendlies (if
the away team is stupid enough to accept the invitation then it's
their problem). However, they shouldn't allow competitions (like
the world cup and other big ones like that) to be staged at
altitude as that gives an unfair advantage to the home team.
