Women's football in Brazil and South America definitely needs a boost.
There's always been a lot of potential but not much support from the male football authorities or financial backers.
It's crazy that NZ was better than all South American women's senior sides except Brazil until recent years when Colombia and Argentina have overtaken us.
Brazil team players have complained about poor wages and conditions for years.

The Final Draw for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ is set to take place on Friday, 11 December 2026 at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro (MAM Rio). The event will bring together representatives of the qualified teams and those still in contention, against the backdrop of one of Brazil’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

Exciting. Finally we will get to see a big Phoenix and ex Phoenix contingent in a Ferns World Cup. I'll be interested in the draw. I hope they don't get the Matildas in the group because that is a guaranteed loss. I hope for Malawi/Algeria instead.
