I read an article which quoted someone (I think it was Graham
Seatter) as saying that the Hyundai A-league is ranked as the 18th
best football league in the world. I was wondering if anybody knew
what website to go too to find out all of the rankings of different
national leagues.

Frankie...
I think you're being a bit harsh there. The Conference North isn't that much stronger than the Conference South.

Glad to see Wellington Premier Division is well above the English

the rankings are based on the following criteria:
average crowds
international success of teams
replica shirts sold
% of crowd with a club badge tattooed on them
how the official statistician was feeling when he completed
the rankings
number of teams with more that 12 letters in their names
average height and weight of starting centre-backs
number of sponsorships and logos on shorts
pie
% of crowd that are fat chicks
All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite

The Scottish Premier League is a nonsense.
The only possible way to get a third power would be a unified Edinburgh based club. The days of an Aberdeen or Dundee challeenge are over now that overseas players make the difference for Celtic and Rangers.
Celtic and Rangers have to get into a wider, better league somehow, somewhere, and leave behind a much more even contest between the rest. That would be better for the national side as the leftover division would be able to bring on home based players better than the big two.
Where to go? EPL wont have them. A wider Celtic League inc Ireland seems a non runner. A Scandanavian superleague anyone?

THE EPL wants us but we would have to start in the conference, as
they had a vote 3 years ago.a ll Epl teams said yes, all other
divisons said no unless your in the conference
My bet is a super league in europe with the top 2-5 sides from
each major league. then it would give the other teams would cant do
much in other leagues a chance..
ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

i don't want to suprise ya too much, but heres a funny story...
there is a competition similar to the one you've described, and, *shock horror* it is in Europe of all places. its not very popular but its run by UEFA and is called the "Champions League"
