I've always found it funny how hipsters try so hard to be different or alternative but end up being exactly the same as each other. You can spot a hipster a mile away. 

So in their attempts to not conform to popular culture, they're really just conforming to another culture, that has almost become popular culture through the word 'hipster'. In fact I'd say they're more conformed and similar to others in their subgroup than anyone else from any other subgroup is.
