My mum's father is from Goa in India, which was colonised by the Portuguese in the 1500s, so very strong Portuguese influence there and because of that I have a Portuguese surname. Also may have some Portuguese blood in me, but difficult to find out for sure. I very strongly support India when they play games I know about, really want an Indian national team shirt.You know we belong together...

I loved their old squad. It was full of great players. The one from around about 2000. Nuno Gomes (as I mentioned earlier) but I enjoyed watching Abel Xavier, Luis Figo, Jorge Andrade (when I actually saw him), Vitor Baia, and Rui Costa. Joao Pinto was also quality for the South Korea game at the World Cup.
Then a little man called Ronaldo marches along. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a big reason why so many people dislike Portugal.

I think, like last time, France will surprise most. Don't really know much about Portugal apart from they've got Ronaldo, Deco, and Nani. And a few others.

Eduardo is a decent keeper, although Ricardo was immense at the last WC.
Ricardo Carvalho, Pepe and Bruno Alves are all quality CBs, while Boswinga, Miguel and Paulo Ferreira are fantastic fullbacks.
In the middle there are plenty of quality CMs, Duda, Raul Meireles, Veloso, Deco, Tiago and Moutinho. Wingers are probably the strongest point, Quaresma, Nani, Simao and of course Ronaldo.
Striker options are pretty much Liedson, Hugo Almeida, Nuno Gomes and Helder Postiga. A winger (Simao most liklely) will probably have to help lead the line. Now that Pauleta has retired it's a real weak point.
