Anelka butchered that.  if he had of left it, the other guy would have been through on goal.

Someone needs to count the players, France look like they've got twice as many men. Uruguay get the ball and there's no one in space, whereas France have runners everywhere. At this rate Uruguay are going to be lucky to get anything out of this game.

Min 2 hour pre flight check-in for international flights isn't it?

Fair enough, I think my internal flight clears customs at Sydney before heading to Melb for the rest of the journey.
So I gotta be there 2 hours prior as opposed to 30 mins.

funnies re horrid horn
"Vuvuzelas have been controversial. They have been associated with permanent noise-induced hearing loss, a possible safety risk when spectators can't hear evacuation announcements, potentiality spreading colds and flu germs on a greater scale than coughing or shouting. Commentators have described the sound as "annoying" and compared it with "a stampede of noisy elephants,""a deafening swarm of locusts" and "a goat on the way to slaughter".

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, probably all applies to me

I didn't realize it was originally so derogatory.
I live in a Portuguese area of Sydney (Petersham) & have heard that expression amongst them.

Looking forward to seeing Loco Abreu get a run for Uruguay, he is the Botafogo representative at this world cup.

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

Ah OK, I had family from Goa, so they were all Catholic and had Portuguese names, not 100% on whether I have Portuguese blood or not, but when India make a World Cup (and agree to go) I'll be all over it.

How have you not?

I hope BrettDale isn't watching this game, the commentator just made 3 rugby references in the space of a minute.

French look better in the second half, to often in the first I got the feeling Anelka was isolated
