I can't recall any other real attempts from distance apart
from Malouda's just before the red. Incl the opening game. I thought this new ball we would see more of them?

Mmmm only saw most of the second half. . . . I think I may have written France off too early. They played quite a dominating game and should have got better than a point. Their players were all over the field making decent use of the space and having strong possession and regaining possession. The class was clear. Still haven't seen any team shoot from long distance as I predicted yet. Do I have to wait until Germany plays to see regular shots from way out? However Uruguay did put up a hard working defence and meritoriously deserved a point at least.
