Good job FIFA bringing in goal line technology. It really helped clear things up in the France v Honduras match....

it did and it worked perfectly. Despite what the commentator keeps saying.

Oh yeah, it was clearly a goal as shown by the tech. But it did seem like there was a lot of confusion on the pitch and sideline about it, although how much of that was the commentator himself getting confused I don't know.

Seems harsh to call it an own goal though

guess its new so the crowd weren't used to it. And yeah the commentator was an idiot with the one that hit the post. I then wasn't convinced it was over, but changed my mind. Yet he kept going on and on about how GLT didn't work and how it was a controversial goal, which probably influenced some people reactions (which I never understand - make your own mind up)

For the worst game so far, France/Duras wasn't actually too bad.

Most goals scored for the first 10 games since the 1958 world cup. Defending is dead.

Who needs defense when you have offense! I'm loving this World Cup so far, no draws and lots of goals!

Mexico/Cameroon was the worst game for me so far...

I'm not sure how it was controversial. Why did they need to show that part that said 'no goal'? I don't think anyone was ever in doubt when it came off the upright that it was not a goal.

I'm actually surprised that they showed that on the big screen considering they never show replays of 'big decisions' at the ground.

I can't wait for the Honduras coach to come out and explain his reaction over the goal being allowed.

In other news, how good was that Swiss game? Well worth getting up early for.

Dammit! Swiss/Ecuador my first missed game of the tournament!

FIFA have said the first 'no goal' was to show that Benzema didn't score it, but that it was only a 'goal' once the keeper tipped it in.

Jeez this has been a great tournament so far - only thing that wouldve made it better was obviously if we were involved.

Doing my normal thing of supporting the Dutch because of my heritage, though - and have started well :)

What a cracking World Cup this is. Two teams going at each other hammer and tongs, Ben Williams predictably in the spotlight for disallowing a Honduras goal just before HT. Did he see a handball from the rebound off the post?

Clint Bolton: "I thought I was watching an A League game with some of the refereeing there".

But the game play is of a higher standard for most part.

I must google "Ben Williams", becuase I'm pretty sure the referee I saw today wasn't the same one I've seen in the A-League.

How lethal did France look? Brilliant.

France did look lethal, Ben Williams looked a good referee. A complete day of upsets.
