Didier Drogba got injured in today's friendly game against Japan. He will most probably miss WC, according to unofficial statements from his team mates (K.Toure) and Ivory Coast officials.

Shame, life can be cruel for players sometimes.

according to ubergunner,it's a shame that Drogba is going to miss the world cup,but for Ferdinand it's "insert Nelson Muntz laugh here"...pathetic attitude.
ANY player who misses the world cup is unfortunate, and enjoying their loss merely sums up ubergunner as a person...

Drogba is an annoying, petulant cheat, but he is a fantastic player to watch. Disappointing if we don't get to see him in SA.

"
Despite the loss of Drogba, the Ivorians went on to win the game, which was played over three 45 minute periods, 2-0, though they will not relish a trip to South Africa without their recognised star forward."

135 minute game?  I'd fake an injury too!
