My sources tell me that Mike Hester and his team including Jan Hintz and a tongan lad whose name escapes me has been appointed to the Pool B game between game between Greece and South Korea.

As well this Peter O'leary and Brent Best have been appointed as fourth (reserve ref) and fifth  officials (reserve ar) respectively  in the game between Slovenia and Algeria.

As I say nothing official but its great news if it comes through as correct

Yep, good stuff. Presumably if they do a good job they have a chance of getting given some later games too (in the last few WCs the officials for the knockout stages have been chosen based on their performance in group matches, I assume it's the same this time too).

Any inside info on who the refs for NZ's games will be?

Thought Peter O'leary was the better ref of the two? Based on A-league form at least...
