Dear Wellington Phoenix Supporters,
Upper Hutt Multi Ethnic Council
Inc is hosting the 2nd Regional Ethnic Community Soccer
Tournament to be held in September 2007. The inaugural tournament
was won by Sudan beating Zimbabwe in the
Final by 3 goals to 1 and
Somalia won the 3rd place beating Iraq by 4 goals to
1.
This year tournament is expected to
be more improved and fun.
We would like to invite you to register your "expression of interest" to:

Once we have collated all the
names and contacts of interested soccer enthusiasts (fans), a
registration form will be sent out.

Last year we had 8 teams Sudan, Iraq, Somalia, Assyria, Fiji, Zimbabwe, South africa, and New Zealand. Some of the team had mixed nationalities like Korean, Nigerian, Burkina Faso, Grecce and Turkey.
We are looking for more teams to make this years event more colourfull and fun.

talentscout, i assume a lot of these players are recent arrivals in
N.Z. Do they have any interest in watching the Phoenix? If not do
you know why?
