I'm disappointed Toronto lost the 1st leg.  Hope they can rebound and remove the deficit and keep Montreal scoreless. That game is on the 1st of December at 1pm NZ time.

and Seatlle beat Colorado 2-1, they play the 2nd leg on the 28th at 10am NZ time.

I'm excited, Toronto FC are in the MLS cup final v Seattle on Sunday 11th December at 2pm NZ time.  It's not on Sky/ESPN so I'll have to source a stream to watch it.

David Beckham's Miami

I don't follow the MLS - although admittedly I'd really like to.

But I'm amazed by Backham's foresight about having a clause included in his contract as a player allowing him to eventually build a new franchise. I know he was the biggest name to play in the States since the 70s, so the FA would have bent over backwards to him.

But this also speaks volumes in terms of Beckham's ability to plan and think in future terms. Good on him.

Fark if Miami get a stadium before Roma I'm going to punch through my computer monitor. 5+ years and we still haven't got resource consent. Handsome Dave turns up and gets it done in half the time.

Okay not the MLS, but interesting Kiwi matchup today in USL.

Portland II (Cameron Knowles as coach) beating Sacramento (coached by Simon Elliott) 2-0.

In Western Conference, Sacramento are currently 2nd and Timbers II are 4th.

Starting to become a huge fan of the MLS, I'm currently watching a live Instant Analysis from their facebook page and it has four pundits on it talking about the upcoming games. That is what I call exposure! This competition is aimed at the millennials coming through with the amount of exposure, I think some teams even broadcast their games on Youtube TV. If only we don't have to rely on the likes of Sky and Foxtel for football.

Big game coming up between Atlanta United vs Sporting KC both top of their conferences.

Gutted, though we had a really good playoff run. Surpised that we came as far as we did, to be honest. But still...gutted to lose.

Late on this. Only just discovered that former PEC Zwolle (Ryan Thomas) TD Gerard Nijkamp started as manager of Cincinnati in 2019.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

Not a bad way to cap off your MLS debut.

Semantics but was a Leagues Cup game against Liga MX side
Cruz Azul
.

Point it out as Miami's next MLS game will be against Tuiloma's Charlotte, on 21st August. I'm sure Billy T will be begging his club coach for a start (he's lately been at RB).

He's at it again.
https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/lionel-messi-inter-miami-superstar-scores-stunner-at-philadelphia-union

Inter Miami up 3-0 at Phili Union in their Leagues Cup semi. Jordi Alba with their 3rd goal.

Miami sit dead last 15th (12 pts off the playoffs), MLS Eastern Conference. But with the arrival of their ex Barca 3 musketeers, who knows what could happen once the MLS restarts next week.

Great to have him finishing his career in a friendly TV viewing time for us. Thank fudge he didn't take the Saudi dosh.

Basically yes.

Scores again as Leagues Cup final finishes 1-1 after NT/ET, Inter Miami against Nashville in Tennesse.

Goes to pens. Messi, Busquets & Alba all convert. Miami get up 10-9!
Very quickly the GOAT brings silverware to his new MLS club.
