Nigeria have dropped 15 players from their Under-17 World Cup squad, following tests to determine the ages of team members.
Nigeria are the hosts of the tournament, which kicks off at the end of October.
The move to scan the players came after football's world governing body Fifa announced plans to carry out tests during the tournament itself.

It is long rumoured about African Youth internationals for many years and FIFA has yet again was slow to take action. Lack of birth Certificates, unknown birth dates by rural parents, etc.

Nigeria has won THREE U-17 World Championships since 1985, yet they only have four total victories in all World Cups combined. There's no other country in the world with such a huge gap between youth success and senior success.

The problem seems to be in Track and Field as well.

how exactly do you test for age?

Maybe look at some physiological markers? Bone development is gradual I think, so can be used to estimate the age of people (but not sure how that's done on living people).

Some wrist test which measures the age through bone structure or something like that.

Three for me, and two for them.

Buffy is onto it.  There is a bone in your wrist that can determine not only your chronological age but also pretty accurately estimate your adult height and body shape.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
