Does anyone know what the ramifications are of NZF holding the Nix's Licence to play in the A-League if in fact they are insolvent? Worse still if they were to be liquidated? I presume the FFA would simply take the licence back and pass it directly to Terry? Does anyone know the legal impications of this scenario? The FFA must be somewhat alarmed by the recent news of NZF's dire financial situation. Likwise OFC and FIFA.

I would assume you are correct but who knows. Noises from the
FFA are that they have been very happy with the Phoenix so I can't
see there being any problem in the short term. Indeed it's in
the FFA's interests to leave the license with NZF because then if
the Phoenix go downhill they've got a very easy way to get them
out.
Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

You would expect the licence agreement with NZS would inclde
default clauses relating to financial solvency. So yes, it is
likely that the FFA could pull the plug on NZS and the Phoenix
would be stuffed as they are unlikely to be a party to that
agreement. In fact, most default clauses kick in before actual
insolvency.
However, in reality as smithy says the FFA are very happy with the Phoenix so if it came to that would probably just transfer the licence directly to the Phoenix.
