There used to be a Thistle player who we nicknamed 'The Judge', 'cos he spent so much time on the bench!

I still like Big Bird for Halstead, but as i'm the only one i've

for a while Stuart Pearson was known as "Onion Stu" and earnt the headline
"Onion Stu lands City in a pickle"
coz he got sent off for calling the linesman a "bloody onion" (dissent was a bit more tightly enforced in those days)
