Do check TV One also, they will have games on their website and app live as well.

I'm positive things will go wrong.

+1 on the wiziwig.eu channel. Use Sopcast or stream torrent, always great. Have no idea how it will go for the world cup though.

It will be absolutely fine.

Sopcast / acestream / streamtorrent all top quality streams (use them for PL 3pm kick-offs on the odd occasion).

(2) Overseas:

These are legal rights holders streaming games overseas for free - are meant to be restricted to that territory but you can access them in NZ by following these simple instructions:

(If you are a Slingshot broadband customer, you are provided with their new "Global Mode" which does the same thing)

Install the necessary free software on your computer to access these territorially-restricted sites:

http://hola.org/

(You have the Hola icon on the right of your address bar and simply turn it on with a click whenever you want to access a territorially-restricted site. Then choose which country the site is located - it fools the restricted site into thinking you are in that country  - e.g. for BBC and ITV simply click on the UK option, the Union Jack.)

NOW GO TO THE FOREIGN WEBSITES STREAMING GAMES:

Access all the British Coverage of the World Cup on the BBC and ITV Online:

It's hardly legal if you're bypassing territory restrictions is it? lol

Funnily enough it seems to be legal - Slingshot have introduced a "Global Mode" service for their customers which disguises your IP address and bypasses territory restrictions. Now part of every Slingshot broadband package.

They promote it amusingly as "useful for your foreign guests so they can access their favourite foreign websites while staying in NZ."

Overseas bodies know about it but it hasn't been challenged legally yet and Slingshot have done their legal homework....

Errr...hummm... I'm only suggesting the above so "your foreign guests" can "access their favourite sites" - know what I mean?

Much discussed on the great local "Geek Zone" tech forums:

Someone has pointed out on the "TV Coverage" thread that one of the best free options for us Kiwis is provided by our Aussie cousins through their brilliant SBS service which is showing all games streaming on their website and On Demand to watch at your leisure:

Just download "Hola" which enables you to access foreign coverage:

 http://hola.org/

And click on the icon once it's installed on  the right of your address bar, choosing the appropriate country - Australia in this case.

All games streaming live here with no or minimal ads:

http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/worldcupvideo

Click on "Watch Now" which comes up at broadcast time.

On Demand videos of all full games plus highlights and World Cup shows:

I'm watching on Sky so not sure why I read this thread, but did just want to say that Big Pete is an absolute legend.

The comprehensiveness with everything he discusses, the links, it's just fantastic.
