That death is just sad. Like the irish boxer who a gold medal then did it a year later.

Tipped to be number one goalie at the World Cup.  Sad news.  Left behind an 8 month old daughter and a wife I read. 

Have the reasons come out as to why he did it?

First a daughter and now this. RIP Robert Enke. May you find the peace that you couldn't find in this world.

Robert and his two-year-old daughter Lara, who died in September 2006.

He committed suicide about 200 meters away from her grave.

I do not believe he ever got over the death of his daughter.

Just when it was unification Day in Germany and Armistice Day. I hope that his wife gets all the support she needs having lost a daughter and now a husband.

He was suffering from severe depression apparently.
